Diamine brand ink has a long and rich history, dating back to 1864. Diamine ink is produced in the UK and is made with a gentle formula safe for all fountain pens. It has quickly become one of the most popular and sought-after brands around. A wide selection of ink colors is available.
The photograph does not do this ink justice. It is intensely black and fun for
drawing as it is very soluble in water. In my lightfastness tests, I t is not
totally, permanently archival in sunlight, but it is better than most non
pigmented black fountain pen inks including the most well-known ones. (Note
that the Diamine Grey is completely resistant to UV light for at least a year
when on paper taped facing a sunny window - it too is totally water soluble and
is also a good addition to a drawing kit.) In color, this ink is intensely
black and dilutes to a fairly true gray, a bit on the cool side. Behaves well
both in a waterbrush and in a fountain pen. Recommended!
