Diamine brand ink has a long and rich history, dating back to 1864. Diamine ink is produced in the UK and is made with a gentle formula safe for all fountain pens. It has quickly become one of the most popular and sought-after brands around. A wide selection of ink colors is available.
I bought this Diamine ink to fill out an order and thought it was cool. Well, I
have not seen it since it arrived. My husband loves it too much to let me use
it. No pre done cartridges, I guess because it's a rare color. I have Herbin
Orange Indien ink cartridges but they are "too light".
And maybe I can sneak into his office and "borrow" the pen.
I bought it on a whim. A nice ink, I suppose, just not to my taste. I filled a
Platinum Preppy with a 0.03mm nib with the stuff...Perhaps I would appreciate
the color more if I used a broad or stub nib.
Love the color. I use this to grade quizzes/exams/etc. It comes out a little
more red than orange on most paper, but it's nice and bright and easy to read
(not too "neon" but not dark). This ink seems to flow pretty easily ("wet") but
dries quickly. I've had very few smears using it.
I've been noticing that my nib gets sort of a "crust" developing along the split
and in the crevases that I have to keep cleaning off. I'm new to fountain pens
so I don't actually know if that's normal or not, but I thought it might be
something with the ink.
