I LOVE these! I bought the blue quite awhile ago, just to test the pen and see
if they really worked. I wound up being so happy with the performance that I
bought the whole set!
Don't dry too long, just like another reviewer said. It will make the ink
crumbly and it will shrivel up. I wrote with the blue one in a handmade book I
made for someone - and many, many months later, it's still pretty dimensional.
That's after having the book closed tightly for all this time.
I feel comfortable recommending these - they are totally different than "normal"
pens - and the ones I've received haven't had any flaws. They're grreeaat! :)
(My 10 year old loves to play with them, too!)

I only purchased thie blue color of the Dong-A Popcorn Puffy Paint Pens, because
I wanted to see if it actually puffed up like the pictures show it does. I hate
ordering pens like this, only to find out they don't work as expected, leak, or
don't work at all. My concerns about this pen were totally unfounded!
I love how smooth this ink goes on paper. You must write slowly with it in order
to get the full puffy effect, but that is expected from pens with inks that do
"special" things.
I love this pen and will definitely order the 12 pack! The way this ink puffs up
is really cool - and the puffed ink remains soft, while being difficult to push
down. I don't have any worries about the ink flattening out in the mail, over
time, etc. Very fun pen!

I recently purchased..., April 6, 2009
I recently purchased the 12 pack of pens along with a single Blue, Green and Red
Puffy Paint Pen. So far I've tried all three of the singles and the Blue pen
will not write whatsoever. The red and the green pens write if I put GREAT
PRESSURE on the squeezable barrels, therefore using an exorbitant amount of the
ink in the pen without having much control over where the ink lays down due to
the fact that it has to be squeezed so hard at the same time as navigating the
pens.
I really wish that the twelve pack that I have works as it should because when
the ink is laid down and heat is applied, it really does look nice and gives a
nice boarder for mixed inked / media arts.

This pen is so cool!..., June 12, 2011
This review is from Dong-A Popcorn Puffy Paint Special Liquid Ink Pen - White
This pen is so cool! I do a lot of "dots" in my 3-d work and thought it would be
fun to put a spin on those that wasn't puff/3-d paint (which tends to migrate if
applied too heavily). This pen is amazing- a tiny bit of ink sort of "pops" like
popcorn, creating a bumpy and textural effect. It's not smooth or shiny when
heated- instead, it's sort of spongy. It's very hard to describe but a little
goes a VERY long way. My daughter played with it for a while and by creating
*tiny* dots on a drawing of a dress, the ink gave the appearance of tiny little
blossoms when heated. Now I want to order more colors.
