I love this pencil. It's...

I love this pencil. It's stubby and fat. I use it for drawing, so I can't really
comment on how good it feels for writing. Actually, I feel like if you have
bigger hands than mine, and you used this solely for writing you might not like
I draw hard. I'm very heavy handed, and I usually have the death grip on my
utensils. The fat body of the Move helps alleviate the pain I usually feel from
long bouts of strangling pencils and pens. It's length or lack thereof is great
for an over-hand grip. The round end fits nicely in the crease of my palm, or as
I like to call it, the thumb butt. You know what I'm talking about.
I'm a fan of the 1.18mm HB lead because it's fat and soft. It won't mar the
surface of your paper like some harder or thinner leads. You can achieve whisper
thin construction lines as well as big, fat, dark, lines. You can even turn the
pencil sideways and get a little broadside action, but don't angle it too far or
the metal tip will scratch the paper.
The wood feels great. Not like other wooden pencils that have some sort of
finish on them which make it feel like plastic. I can tell that after a while
the wood is going to start to show signs of use similar to that of a guitar
fretboard, and I'm excited to see that. I'm excited to build history with this
pencil. To find that groove where I always pinch it betwixt my thumb and
forefinger. To see the knicks and dents in the body from mistreatment. To have
the rounded end become smoothed and naturally finished from the oil of my thumb
butt. Ah, thumb butt.
My one and only issue with the pencil is this: E+M, would it have killed you to
put more than one measly stick of lead in there? You may be asking, why is he
giving it a 4/5 if he loves it so much? Well, It's hard to fully appreciate the
pencil when you run out of lead almost immediately. Sure, I have a tiny bit of
lead left, but not enough for the pencil to grab it. It keeps falling out! I'm
actually going to buy a longer 1.15 mm lead and see how that works. Plus, 4 out
of 5 isn't bad at all. If it came with more lead, and the mechanism inside could
grab shorter lengths of lead it would have been a 5.
