March 15, 2012
I bought this notebook to replace my old list notebook that I had for years and
I am very pleased with it. It is smaller then I expected but that's my fault
for not reading the dimensions. It's not too small though I find it perfectly
adequate. I got the lovely purple cover which is very nice and seems very
durable. I love the tear away corners. I love the little bookmark. And I love
the paper. It really is high quality. I write with all different kinds of pens
and every pen has written like butter on this paper. I love it very much and
will be purchasing another one in pink once it is in stock again.

The cover is well made...the paper is verra smooth for writing with many pens,
especially gel pens. My Big Complaint...it's not lilac purple...it's more pepto
pink...which is sooo not what I wanted to order. Otherwise, if you're flexable
about your color choices...this is great notebook.

Exacompta Club Leatherette Refillable Journal - Black - 5" X 7" - 192 Sheets - Lined/Undated
I am always on the lookout for journals that are good for fountain pens... This
one is not. It is made with Clairefontaine 64gr... but it bleeds through.
Tried with are variety of fine and x-fine nibs and several brands of ink... half
of it was bleed through the other half very dark see through.
Nice journal, but not for me... Leveger Stanley refill work great, and Rhodia
webbies are fantastic.

Exacompta Club Leatherette Refillable Journal - Cherry Red Cover - 5" X 7" - 192 Sheets - Lined/Undated
I love this journal. the faux leather cover is surprisingly flexible, does not
stick up at all but is sturdy enough to write on. It looks very nice. The pages
are very nice too, lovely to write on. there are conversion tables and a big
list of global area codes in the front (other stuff there too), and a few pages
of an address book in the back.
the only bad thing is that at the very beginning (and I assume at the end) it is
difficult to write because you can't help writing over the edge of the cover and
that messes up your writing. this clears up after a few pages.
overall, I really love this journal and will proabably get the refill when I use
this one up.

Really love this journal,...,

Exacompta Club Leatherette Refillable Journal - Spring Green Cover - 5" X 7" - 192 Sheets - Lined/Undated
Really love this journal, it actually exceeded my expectations in many ways.
The cover is lovely; a beautiful spring green color and it offers some
protection (though without a closure, it's more or less to dress up your
journal). I half expected it would look 'plastic like' but not so! It opens
without buckling under the spine, so it doesn't interfere with your ability to
open your journal fully/lay flat against your desk.
The journal itself is why I didn't give this a 5 star rating. The lined/undated
journal offers very little writing room for actual journaling/writing. Nearly a
third of of your 5"x7" page is obstructed by an unnecessarily large date field.
The actual lined area leaves you with a 4.25"x4.75" writing space. I do however
appreciate the quality of this journal - it is perhaps one of the best
constructed journals I've ever had the pleasure to write in. The paper quality
is smooth and works well with my Pilot Cavalier Fountain pen and I love how you
can open to any section of the journal and have it lay flat without any effort.
I was slightly disappointed to later learn that the refills only come in three
options: Blank, Lined/Undated (what comes with this journal) and Graph. I would
love to see a Lined option without any date fields taking up the first third of
my page. I do happen to like writing on Graph paper though, so I've purchased a
graph refill today and I'm really looking forward to receiving my order.
Great buy! Highly recommend :).

Best journal I've tried...,

Exacompta Club Leatherette Refillable Journal - Black - 5" X 7" - 192 Sheets - Lined/Undated
Best journal I've tried to date. I am in the quest for writing instruments, pens
& papers, as part of a self-imposed long-term songwriting project - going "old
school". I turned to JetPens to find, and experiment with, tools for
handwriting. Writing with pen and paper helps to start and maintain the creative
process in a way that computers cannot.
So far the Exacompta Journal is about as close to perfection as I could hope
for. The size is a great compromise between too small and too large. The paper
is a pleasure to write on and the refillable cover holds the refill securely
(and looks beautiful). The lined refill has room at the top of each page for
date and notes. The pages are permanently bound, they are not removable nor can
extra pages be inserted. This is very important for my work, especially when it
comes to proof of copyright.
I love writing with this system. I plan to order a bundle of refills to keep a
consistent set of records of my handwritten songs. I also ordered another
Exacompta Journal in a different color to jot down ideas (e.g. TItles, themes,
storylines).

nothing like the written word" ©2010 Howard Pavane

Exacompta Club Leatherette Refillable Journal - Spring Green Cover - 5" X 7" - 192 Sheets - Lined/Undated
I used to use a Kokuyo series of notebooks but when I was ready to reorder I
found that the notebooks had been discontinued. Very sad day for a creature of
habit. The other lines of Kokuyo notebooks aren't as appealing so I ventured
out to find something new. I decided to give this journal a try and I must admit
the green leatherette was an added bonus. The pages in this notebook are high
quality, no ink bleed thru. I like that I can list the date as well as my
appointments for the day at the top of the page and have the rest of the page to
take notes and keep track of my daily tasks. The size is perfect for my work bag
or purse. And being that the leatherette is refillable, I don't have the
unnecessary waste I find with most leather journals. I've already ordered
refills so that they will be available when I need them and I've sold my staff
on using them as well. I recommend this journal for any business person who is
constantly on the go or in meetings where you have to quickly jot things down.

Exacompta Club Leatherette Refillable Journal - Teal Cover - 5" X 7" - 192 Sheets - Lined/Undated
I bought this a while back. It's a nice, sturdy notebook and has survived days
in my bag jumbled with all my other stuff. The leatherette cover is nice and
flexible.
My issue with this notebook is the paper. I prefer writing with fountain pens,
but this paper is not a fan of them. Every ink and fountain pen combination I
have tried with this notebook leaves minimum to severe bleed-through (to the
point where other pages are stained), and even gel ink pens leave a noticeable
shadow on the back of the page. It is completely overpriced for what it is.
I'd recommend you only buy this if you mostly like writing with pencils,
ballpoint or felt tip pens. For fountain pen users, it's just not worth it.
You'll only be able to use one side of the paper.
