I'd prefer a somewhat heavier paper. It takes some fussing to get clean images
of the pages if you use both sides and want them scanned in for further use on
the computer. If you expect to do that a lot, the Maruman Memnosyne blank books
are better even tho the paper weight is similar. I haven't done a ton with
varied inks in the Exacompta yet, but if you just want blank paper for sketching
and doodling it should be ok. It seems reasonably bleed proof given the paper
weight. Beats the hell out of newsprint.
The binding is not a lay flat style, which means it is not as lefty friendly as
I might like.
Each page has a small perforated cut out that will allow you to keep your place.
I don't think the lack of a bookmark should be a major ding given that.
