As of reviewing time the journal is holding up well. I really like the number of pages for the overall size of the notebook. My biggest issue with it is the paper is a bit thirsty so my rollerball and fountain pens need to be used fast and with a light hand to limit bleed through. If you like wet pens this is not the best choice, but for pencils, ballpoints and fine point rollerball pens it's great stuff

This is a very handsome notebook - slim and unassuming with smooth paper. I'm a fan of the perforated corners as well. The spine is a bit stiff, making it tricky to hit the backs of the earlier pages... not an uncommon issue, but that can be annoying, so I'll call it out. The paper is also not quite as thick as I'd like - with a gel, a ball point, or a not-too-wet felt tip (I'm using LePen), there's no issue. But with a fountain or a wetter felt pen (think Stabilo), the ghosting is bad enough to make back sides of pages (to my eye) unusable. It's not such an issue that I'd give up the notebook, but I will have to choose my pens wisely.

I used this as a bullet journal. Pros: It's very hardy and portable. I used it for four months, taking it everywhere in my messy backpack and on cross country trips, and it only got a little bit grey on the exposed sides. If you're using a cover it'll stay pristine for a long time! The size is perfect too, since there's so many pages. I also like the little perforated corners, they're kind of weird but useful as bookmarks. Cons: Paper is not perfect. Fountain pens (I use a Metropolitan F) bleed and feather, Stabilos bleed a LOT and feather. Fineliners work great but have some showthrough. Overall, I like this journal but prefer ones with thicker paper! For the price though, it's a great workhorse.

Sturdy cover even for a "refill". The graph paper is useful for both sketches and keeping my kanji in proportion.
