The cover is nice. The paper is quite thin, so if you want to use a fountain pen, you'll need to use something like the Metropolitan Pilot EF. I also didn't like the fact that the heading block of space on the page takes up so much room. It's a journal, not a calendar, after all. It's not the best I've seen by far, but it'd be alright for a dream journal or something, I suppose.

Probably will be good on its own, but the measurements are really 4" x 6" so it won't fit in my 5" x 7" cover.

I love Exacompta Journals. I use these mostly for songwriting. The headers at the top of each page are useful for entering info about the song in progress. Adding the date, Working Title, version, and adding my signature (serves as proof of copyright, prior to registering with the Library of Congress). Pages are archival quality, and nice to write on. I've got stacks of these books. I like the fact that Exacompta makes leatherette covers, which I use to protect the journal I'm working on. When I finish a journal, I remove it from the cover, and insert the next journal.
