Black ink ballpoint pen comes inside plastic case.

The original Bullet Space Pen was conceived in July of 1948. Made with an all brass body, the inner ink component of the Bullet is pressurized, assuring smooth writing on virtually any surface! The sealed ink cartridge is pressurized at about 45 pounds per square inch and contains a visco-elastic, thixotropic, solid-gel ink. The result is a ballpoint pen that will write dependable smooth upside down, underwater, over grease, in extreme cold and hot temperatures and has an estimated shelf life of 100 years. Multiple body colors and ink color refills available.

Pen dimensions: Approximately 3.8 inches (9.7 cm) long when capped, 5.3 inches (13.5 cm) from tip to end of cap when cap is posted on back of pen, and 0.4 inches (10 mm) in diameter.

  I got one about a month..., April 22, 2013

I got one about a month ago to take with me when I go backpacking and climbing. I used to bring a BIC pen or a pilot pen but they always broke and splotched ink all over my gear, I nicknamed my old backpack the Dalmatian because of this, and I got kind of tired of it. So I have not taken it backpacking or climbing yet but I have used it a bunch at school and it's pretty awsome. It writes really nicely and it's super tiny so it's not annoying to carry in my pocket. My only issue with it is that it sometimes doesn't begin to write immediately, for example if I wrote "Hi how are you" the first line on the H will be faint or non existent. Other than that though it is a great pen from my little bit of experience. I hope whoever reads this view has and awsome day, and remember every day is Earth Day not just today!

I've carried this pen in my pocket on a daily basis for the last 8 years. That's all you need to know.

I had one of these last year, but someone nicked it whist at school. I was bitterly disappointed as I only had it for a few months. I tried in vain to recover it. So I bought another one the other day which I hope to keep on to for a while!

This pen is built to last. It's solid brass and it shows. I love this pen's simplicity so I haven't had any interest in the clip. The only problem that I've had with the old pen is that the chrome scratches easily. My new one is being babied. It works like advertised in my use, but I can't vouch for it's zero-G properties. If someone wants to launch me into space to allow me to test it, be my guest.

The ink is great, and comes out smooth. Some say that they have to press down really hard to get a bold line but I haven't had the problem, but I tend to write with a heavy hand anyhow. There are some white dots in my writing, but I think any sort of pen would have that problem. It's certainly a cool pen, and I hope to use it on all my exams!

If you buy this pen, you will not be disappointed. If you somehow are, it's backed by a bullet proof warranty so there's nothing to loose!

Space pens are indeed a great gift. My only complaint is that they just don't write as well as most of the pens on Jetpens. They don't write poorly, but the ink, pressure, and consistency is nowhere near as good as others. I think that everyone should have a Space Pen so that they can say that they "Have a Space Pen". It's a novelty, it looks nice and has great balance. You're everyday writing tool?....i hope not.
