From Pearlescent Ink...

From Pearlescent Ink collection this one was my highest expectation and
therefore fell below it. I did have experience with yellow and apple green
already - marvelous, absolutely brilliant mixes - and I wanted to add another
color to my palette of miracle-bright inks.
Not the case with this red. The color - coral - is unique and its warm tone
would go fine with multiple combinations but its saturation is not as I
expected. Especially while writing (not drawing) the ink has to work on the
first layer. This one doesn't.
I have tried it to be shaken, stirred, on different papers and on top of other
paints - still rather semi-transparent and not what you would expect looking at
this picture here.
I'll keep looking for my favorite warm red for calligraphy writing. It is not,
unfortunately, J. Herbin Dip Pen Pearlescent Coral Red.
Still - *yellow and *green are highly recommended. Go for it!
