I thought gray would...

I thought gray would be too boring. I was so wrong! This is the least boring
gray I've ever seen. Hints of blues, pinks, and lots of depth makes writing with
this ink fun. I use this in my A.G. Spalding M nib fountain pen and it's a match
made in heaven. The only problem is that I am not sure what will happen when I
get to the bottom of the bottle as regards filling.

Gris nuage is the color...

Gris nuage is the color of a rain cloud. It's perfect for adding shading to a
drawing with a brush pen. I really adore how it layers over itself to create
darker grays. It's also great for cross hatching layers.
I currently have it loaded into a Pentel Pocket Brush Pen and it's really just
perfect for the first layers of a sketch, letting me rapidly get ideas into my
sketch journal as quickly as they hit.
It's a favorite color that I can never be without.

Agree with previous posters. A beautiful light grey, great for ink washes,
shadows or accents, but not for handwriting. Will not be visible on paper if
using fine or extra-fine nibbled pens, especially if you have small handwriting
or tiny details. In fact all the J Herbins I have tried seem very lightly

Beautiful color variations, but needs to be in a good flowing pen to actually be
useful for writing. Much lighter than grays by other manufacturers.
