Very high-quality ink, and a beautiful color. I have a number of pens
(especially vintage ones) that only behave well with J. Herbin ink. Lie de Thé
is one of my favorite browns -- most have red undertones, but this has green
instead. It gives it a very different character, making it softer and more
natural-looking. It really is the color of strongly brewed black tea.

J. Herbin Fountain Pen Ink Cartridge - Rouge Opera (Opera Red) - Pack of 6
I tried this in my Kaweco Sport and it is wonderful. It's a lovely deep red. I
highly recommend using Herbin cartridges with the Kaweco. It makes for an
excellent writing experience. Do check to see if the international short
cartridge will fit your pen. Some brands like Lamy have proprietary cartridges
and cannot take the international size.

J. Herbin Fountain Pen Ink Cartridge - Perle Noire (Pearl Black) - Pack of 6
This is a very decent and well-behaved ink. I'd prefer a slightly darker black,
but it's not bad, really. In my Ohto Rook it started up right away, flowed
consistently (I think any inconsistency was probably due to my impatience and
the fact that I didn't bother to clean up the pen before writing), and laid down
a very pleasing line. The best part is that it's not bleeding through either a
pocket Moleskine cahier or a Field Notes journal with this pen (wider, wetter
nibbed pens' results may vary).

J. Herbin Fountain Pen Ink Cartridge - Eclat de Saphir (Sapphire Blue) - Pack of 6
I felt quite differently about this ink. I thought it was much lighter and not
what I had anticipated at all. I tried a cartridge in my Kaweco Sport Fine nib
and felt it flowed more freely than the Kaweco cartridge I had used previously.
The packaging is beautiful, but I might be giving these away. When I think
"Sapphire" blue, I think of a more vibrant blue for sure. Lesson learned: check
an ink swatch next time!

J. Herbin Fountain Pen Ink Cartridge - Eclat de Saphir (Sapphire Blue) - Pack of 6
The ink flows out smooth and dries quickly. The color is a darker than what the
color poster portrays. I would compare it to their portrayal of Bleu Nuit. The
tin case is brilliant. I would recommend this for a Kaweco Sport. The cartridges
do not fit Lamy Safari's. I will be buying more cartridges from J. Herbin.

J. Herbin Fountain Pen Ink Cartridge - Vert Empire (Empire Green) - Pack of 6
Purchased this ink for my Kaweco fountain pen. The color is awful, totally
different from tin sample, turns out to be a very pale yellowish green, more
yellow than green.
I have to throw the cartridge away & clean up my pen.
BTW, I have moon dust purple from this brand which is good, so I'll still
purchase this brand, but this color is on my black list.
