Very high-quality ink, and a beautiful color. I have a number of pens (especially vintage ones) that only behave well with J. Herbin ink. Lie de Thé is one of my favorite browns -- most have red undertones, but this has green instead. It gives it a very different character, making it softer and more natural-looking. It really is the color of strongly brewed black tea.

The ink is wet and the brown is very warm, almost like a burnt orange in places. I secretly bought this just so I can wash the cartridges out and fill them with my own ink to put in my Kawaco Liliput Fireblue F fountain pen. But, the brown is different, and I kind of like it.

Absolutely love this "brown" color. Ink behaves well with the J. Herbin pen. Little aluminum container is kind of cool in its own way.

I'm enjoying using this ink. It's quick-drying and gives shades from golden honey to dark coffee.
