These lightly scented inks are encased in elegant semi-frosted bottles. They are perfect for fountain pens since they are naturally scented and do not contain pigments.

J. Herbin scented inks are made from floral water (hydrosols) of rose, orange, lavender, apple and violets. The hydrosols used by J. Herbin come from Grasse, France, a Provencal town long associated with the perfume industry and famous for its floral scents. Scented inks are inspired by a tradition that began in Italy in the 19th century. J. Herbin and other manufacturers used to collect different scents from the perfume industry and add them to their inks. These scented inks will leave a memorable impression to any writing piece.

Lovely smell (that does not transfer to paper, how sad), and for whatever reason is much less runny than other J. Herbin inks. The color is also nice and true to what is pictured

I love this ink. I'm new to fountain pens, but I have tried out different samples, and find that this one suits my desire for a pretty color and an interesting scent, while still being conservative enough for daily use. (I bought Diamine flamingo pink and promptly got tired of bright ink colors!) I used this ink in a Platinum carbon desk pen, and it wrote beautifully! I think the scent is inoffensive and adds to the experience when filling my pens (you can't smell it once it's on the paper.)

I love the shade, a light blue/purple color, but it's so weakly scented it defeats the purpose. The scent is practically artificial smelling as well, it needs reformulated.

I LOVE these scented inks! It's such a unique and antique idea, and I think it's wonderful that you can find such a thing for sale today. I enjoy writing with the ink very much, even though my letter recipients say they can't really smell it. That's ok, they get the nicely colored ink at least, and I get the pleasant writing experience.
