The sporty and compact look of these fountain pens transcend fashion time and are just as attractive today as they were when they were first created years ago. Each pen is made of solid aluminum combined with genuine carbon and is compact when capped (approx. 4.1 inches long), but very comfortable when posted (5.2 inches long). Thus the Kaweco slogan "Small in the pocket, great in the hand".
Each pen features a screw-on cap for extra security and a stainless steel nib. The German-made pens have a matte finish and include a Kaweco metal logo on the top of the cap. One free blue ink international short cartridge is included inside, more ink colors are available separately at JetPens. Included cartridge will be inside pen upon receipt.
The video below shows how to install an ink cartridge in your Kaweco pen:
This is my go to office pen. It is small enough to carry in a pocket, but i have
found that the black power coating will scratch off against keys or phones. The
pen looks classy and fits in at the office, school, or at home. It is not
flashy, yet the silver accents are respectable and the real carbon fiber is
mesmerizing to look at during pauses. I dislike that the cap does not screw onto
the back of the pen, so posting the cap is down to friction which i worry will
wear on the threads inside the cap. The pen takes small carts but i have been
refilling one for a couple months now with my favorite ink no problem. The nib
is wonderfully smooth and really shows how good a steel nib can be even if it is
stiff as a nail. Overall, i would buy this pen again, and i have decided to do
just that.
Just received the pen today (super fast service, as usual, kudos): this is one
slick looking pen and it feels great in the hand. I can't believe how small it
is when capped and yet how nicely balanced and "full sized" it feels when
posted.
The fine nib is not scratchy AT ALL and the ink flow is quite smooth.
I ordered the silver and love the contrast of the black carbon panels and the
subtle but way cool font that says "Kaweco AC Sport".
So far, I think I am in love.
My only regret is that I only ordered one color of ink (and that I am such a pen
geek).
