This pen is amazing!..., January 27, 2011
This pen is amazing! Out of the box, it looks tiny, but after posting it, it feels great on your hand. And the nib is high quality! I think that it even writes better than some of the more expensive, gold-nib fountain pens that I own. And the cool touch and solidness of the aluminum body really enhances the writing experience. Just hearing the pen clink as I screw and unscrew the top brings me some sensory pleasure.

This pen is definitely my favorite. I like it so much that I ended up purchasing all three colors.

KaWeCo products are hard to find in the states. So, thanks JetPens for bringing them to us!

Great pen, perfect balance..., June 20, 2011
Great pen, perfect balance of weight, length and width. Nib is surprisingly smooth and a real pleasure to write with. Only complaint is that unlike my plastic kaweco fountain pen, the cap does NOT post snugly on to the front section of the pen. This causes the cap to ride off the front section as I write with it, literally spinning around. Very annoying. I have tried jamming it on as hard as I can but it still winds up spinning around. it almost seems as though there is a piece missing inside the cap that would "grab" the front section. Anyone else have this problem?

Wow.... This pen is so..., December 8, 2010
Wow.... This pen is so nice, I wish I could write this review with it! It's a good nib width for my small handwriting. When posted, it's a full size pen, and I have thin hands, so I often use it unposted.

This is the first pen above 15$ that I've ever owned, but I really think it was worth it, as I doubt I'll need to buy another for years.

Recommended!

These are great little fountain pens you can carry with you all the time! They are virtually impossible to find in the states, so I was very happy to see JetPens.com carrying them. The only negative is that they don't carry the matching mechanical pencils, ballpoints and cool cases that fit these tiny works of art.....

Comes in a neat little Kaweco tin. Great little fountain pen. I washed the nib in soapy water, rinsed it and blew the excess water out of it, loaded up a black Kaweco cartridge, Wow! this sweet pen writes wonderfully . Its a juicy nib, with great flow and a super smooth. The finish is good. medium weight. I write unposted so the balance was perfect. Jet Pens also has some nice short international cartridges by J Herbin packed in tiny cylindrical tins that should fit the Kaweco AL Sport. They have a quite a selection of ink colors and some scented inks.

Highly Reccomended.

The nib writes smooth..., October 13, 2011
The nib writes smooth and consistantly. My only problem is that the coating was not applied to the threads evenly, so the ends of the threads by the grip are silver/unfinished. Also, if you purchased the matching clip and it slides at all, the coating will be removed.
This is my first fountain..., February 3, 2012
This is my first fountain pen, and I love it. I have a dip pen at home to write at my desk but using this pen in my EDC is fantastic! I don't have the problem of the cap rattling and I don't mind the scratches and nicks in the paint. I actually really like the look I have now with the scratches. I get compliments all the time and I'm always asked where I got such a fantastic looking pen. Everyone thinks I spent hundreds in a vintage shop. Looks aside, I was looking for a pen I could carry that writes like my dip pen and this one is even better than I hoped. I know there are more expensive, and cheaper, but for the price point, quality, and all around usefulness, this pen can't be beat.

I'm going to try the extra fine nib next but I doubt it will write as smooth.

My favorite pen ever is the Sharbo X LT3. My highest praise is that this Al Sports is just as awesome as my Sharbo X. Enough said.

This review is from Kaweco AL Sport Fountain Pen - Extra Fine Nib - Black Body
I just found my new favorite. Prior to ordering this pen I was using the Kaweco Fine Nib, which is a perfectly great pen in it's own right, but when I saw that Jetpens was offering the extra fine nib, I thought I'd give it a try. The extra fine nib has a slightly finer line and there is less feathering when writing and less bleeding through the paper. I still think the Kaweco black ink performs just fine. I would definitely recommend this pen to a friend, may even give them as Christmas gifts this year.

Spectacular compact bright silver fountain pen. The first thing I did was to wash the entire pen in a dilute solution of ammonia(removes residual manufacturering oil). Rinse well. Check the nib feed alignment(the black plastic part underneath the nib, it should be centered under the nib itself). Get some good paper. Clairfontaine or Rhodia. Load up a Kaweco black cartridge. This is where you can really see how your pen will perform(on good quality paper). I love this fountain pen. It looks great in the tiny Kaweco sport leather pouch available from Jetpens also.

ENJOY! :O)

I Couldn't Be Happier with This Kaweco Fountain Pen

I bought this pen a couple of weeks ago from JetPens, and it is now the only pen I use for everyday carry. Other pens that have sat in desk drawers and pencil holders gathering dust have been jettisoned in favor of this gem. The Extra Fine nib is perfect for college ruled paper of all qualities- the line width is sharp and uncrowded. The aluminum body is built like a Tiger Tank, but it is quite graceful in basic black. I find the Kaweco black ink cartridges very good in their blackness, although I have not yet tried the Herbin Black Pearl.

A pen of this quality drives home the point that a writer or artist of any income level cannot afford a cheap pen...

The appearance and feel..., August 18, 2011
This review is from Kaweco AL Sport Fountain Pen - Fine Nib - Gray Body
The appearance and feel of the aluminum cap and body are appealing, and the "F" nib is great for taking notes. Overall, I like the compact and practical design. There are a few cons, but they are not show stoppers: 1) the threading where the body of the pen screws into the cap is fine and relatively deep, giving the threads a sharp, knife edge feel that can irritate the index/middle fingers. Ironically, this isn't a problem on the much less expensive plastic models. 2) the cap has to be posted really firmly or it can easily work its way off due to the ultra smooth finish on the pen body. There is no "plug and play" when posting the cap; it requires a conscious effort, but that doesn't make me want to give up the beautifully silky finish on the aluminum.

Just received my Kaweco fine nib Al Sport. In my opinion this is high quality writing instrument. I also use a Lamy Safari Fine nib fountain pen and I prefer the Kaweco. The Kaweco fine nib is less scratchy and line when writing is a bit finer, which I prefer. The Kaweco ink also performs well, I have used it on a couple different paper types (moleskine notepad, standard A4) and it doesn't seep through. I would highly recommend this pen to a friend or anyone who is considering buying one.

Also, thank you jetpens.com for quick order processing and shipping. Will continue to do business here.

This review is from Kaweco AL Sport Fountain Pen - Fine Nib - Gray Body
I love the compactness of the Kaweco Sports and the extra weight and professional look of the aluminum series. I own the ballpoint pen and 0.7mm pencil and decided to purchase the fountain pen after over a year of owning the other two. It has a finer nib than my Kaweco Liliput fountain pen, although I also own the fine point version of that pen. The barrel is nicer to hold than the Liliput, at least for the way I write I prefer a fatter pen. I highly recommend this product and think the pricing is very good for what you get. I just wish Kaweco would provide a converter so I can use my favorite ink colors in this pen.

I just received my Gray - Fine Nib Kaweco Sport today. Wow, great pen. It writes a good fine line, not scratchy, typical firm German nib. Feels very good in the hand capped and screws closed so it travels well in your pants pocket.

Great service from JetPens again. Thanks

I own 3 Kaweco and 3 Lamy pens and their performance is very similar and competitive. T he Kaweco AL Sport is my favorite for formal letters and I especially appreciate the little bit more heft to the pen. As always JetPens had the right pen at the right price!

A beautiful pen. Feels wonderful in your hand. It is the least fussy fountain pen I have ever used. The flow of ink is smooth, the cartridges are easy to handle, the weight of the line is perfect. I want one in every color.
As usual, JetPens delivers!

Just received my Kaweco - fine nib fountain pen. After writing with it for a little while I can honestly say this is a wonderful writing instrument. It looks and feels like a very well constructed pen. I also use a Lamy Safari fine nib fountain pen and in my opinion the Kaweco performs better. The nib on the kaweco is less scratchy and the line is a bit finer, which I prefer. The kaweco ink performs well, too. I have written with it on a few different types of paper (moleskine notepad, standard A4) and it doesn't seem to seep too much if at all. I would highly recommend this product to a friend.
