The sporty and compact look of these fountain pens transcend fashion time and are just as attractive today as they were when they were first created years ago. Each pen is made of high-quality, colorful plastic and is compact when capped (approx. 4.1 inches long), but very comfortable when posted (5.3 inches long). Thus the Kaweco slogan \"Small in the pocket, great in the hand".

Each pen features a screw-on cap for extra security and a 23 KT gold plated stainless steel nib with an iridium tip. The Germany-made pens reveal a Kaweco metal logo on the top of the cap.

One blue short international ink cartridge is included. The cartridge comes inside the barrel of the pen. If the cartridge seems to be stuck inside the barrel, try gently tapping the barrel against a hard surface a few times to dislodge it.

This is a great quality and everyday pen for me. I’m using it all the time now and I love having it with me. The fine nib is perfect for my writing style. I’m coming from more fine tip gel pens and finally pulled out my Cross fountain pen that my dad got me as a graduation gift about 20 years ago. I like the Cross okay, but it's a medium nib and a bit wet for my tastes.

The weight of the Kaweco Classic Sport was shockingly light at first. I held a friend's AL Sport and that had a good heft. Down the road I will likely upgrade to that, but for now I love the Classic Sport.

The color is spot on, a rich Boudreaux. I thought about black but I’m glad I went with something that makes me think about it a little more every time I see it.

For under $30 this pen is fantastic. Great writing from the nib once it got going (it worked and then was a little scratchy and not flowing but I let gravity do it's thing and a little drag on a moistened finger did the trick). You can't go wrong if you want a compact carry fountain pen to start with.

I love the following things about this pen: it's compact, lightweight and a great value. I don't understand all of the negative reviews for these pens, what are you expecting for a fountain pen, UNDER $30. It's a bit scratchy, but I ditched the ink cartridge it came with and put some good ink. Now it write just as well as my $50+ pens. I use this just about everyday, with my Pelikan 450 and Waterman Lady Pen, both with gold nibs. I highly recommend this item

The pen looks absolutely beautiful (I bought the gold pen clip to go with it). It's the perfect size and I love the way it screws closed for a little added security.
However, the nib has been giving me a little bit of trouble. I find that sometimes if I write at a certain angle or don't press down hard enough it doesn't flow at all. It usually only takes 5-10 seconds of scratching with it for it to flow again so it's only a minor inconvenience, and it doesn't happen a lot, but it's still a little frustrating. It's the only fountain pen I have so far that's done that to me.
Overall, this pen is really beautiful and I especially love the selection of ink colors that go with it!
