I bought this (and several..., October 17, 2010
I bought this (and several other pens) in preparation for this year's NaNoWriMo.
I like to plan and pre-write longhand, and I have definitely been putting this
little sweetheart through its paces. It is indeed quite small when capped, but I
find that it fits comfortably in my (admitedly rather large) hands. Though it's
quite light (and I generally prefer a heavier pen), this is a good thing - it's
easy to tuck this little beauty away in a pocket without feeling loaded down.
Despite the fact that it is indeed plastic, I find it quite attractive - it
doesn't -look- like a cheap plastic pen.
Most importantly, it writes well! The twist-cap closes securely, assuaging my
fears of inky pockets, and keeping it from drying out. I haven't yet had any
problems whatsoever getting the pen to write at a moment's notice, even if it's
been sitting around for a few good hours. The nib glides gorgeously, and the ink
flows freely. Indeed, though I've heard it disparaged in other reviews, I really
don't have much in the way of complaint in regards to the Kaweco cartridges! The
royal blue I received goes on in a lovely purpley-ultramarine color, and fades
to a sort of clear cerulean as it dries, which is quickly. It doesn't smear my
hands, doesn't drip, leak, sputter, or stop; all in all, I find it to be vivid
and pleasing. In fact, the only real complaint I can think of is that I seem to
be using up the ink at a distressing rate - that said, refill cartridges are
cheap!
All in all, I'm completely satisfied with this pen, and would (actually, already
have) recommended it to my fellow pen-enthusiast friends. In fact, I have
already purchased more to give as gifts. Definitely worth the price!

This is a reasonably priced work of art. It's like, and the ink flows like silk.
The cartridges are also very inexpensive, and I can even buy them at a local
supermarket (in Central Africa).
Sorry the other guy's pen didn't write. After I loaded my first cartridge, I had
to tap the nib a few times to get the ink flow. It's been bliss ever since.

This pen skips like mad,..., December 11, 2009
This pen skips like mad, basically not writing at all 95% of the time. It only
works if I hold the pen perpendicular to the paper with almost no slant at all
or if I use quite a bit more pressure than normal and write really slowly. This
pen is completely useless to me.

This is my second Kaweco..., August 27, 2011
This review is from Kaweco Classic Sport Fountain Pen - Fine Nib - Black Body
This is my second Kaweco Sport. The first, which I purchased for college in the
60's, a piston filler with a gold nib,
was made of "destructible plastic." The plastic on the new one is much better.
The fine nib writes puts down a nice line is
is relatively smooth. If you buy the pen, watch the Jetpens video on installing
the first cartridge; it contains a useful
tip. I'm very happy I found the Jetpens site.

I absolutely LOVE this..., March 10, 2011
This review is from Kaweco Classic Sport Fountain Pen - Fine Nib - White Body
I absolutely LOVE this pen. I've tried many fountain pens in the past including
the Ohto Tasche and the Lamy Vista Extra Fine, but this has come out superior.
Ink flow is consistently smooth in almost every angle, which I didn't see with
my Lamy. Even with its small body, it sits comfortably for hours of writing. The
nib writes a little bigger than the EF Lamy, and smaller than the Tasche, but
the ink flows better, making all my inks looking rich and dark, even after
writing for a while.
