The sporty and compact look of these fountain pens transcend time and are just as attractive today as they were when they were first created years ago. Each pen is made of high-quality plastic, and is compact when capped (4.1 inches long) but very comfortable when posted (5.2 inches long). Thus the Kaweco slogan "Small in the pocket, great in the hand".

Made in Germany, the pen features a screw-on cap for extra security, a chrome-plated steel nib, and a metal Kaweco logo on the cap tip.

One blue short international ink cartridge is included. The cartridge comes inside the barrel of the pen. If the cartridge seems to be stuck inside the barrel, try gently tapping the barrel against a hard surface a few times to dislodge it.

I love this pen, but I find that I prefer using the F nib instead. This is a bit scratchy, but overall it's awesome. I only gave it four stars because the gray is much lighter in person than on the screen. If I'd known that it was sweat sock gray I'd have picked a different color.

One note - don't expect to just put a cartridge in this pen and go. It takes about a day for the ink to work down comfortably into the nib!

this is a great little pen! i find myself reaching for it more often than any of the other pens i own; its diminutive size when capped makes it so pocket-friendly i hardly notice it on my person. that is, of course, until i need to use it -- and when i do, the size of the pen when posted is just right for my moderately large hands. the fit and finish of the pen are also quite pleasing; all of the threads are molded well and operate smoothly, and aside from a slightly off-center finial, i noticed no other manufacturing imperfections.

i did encounter three issues with the pen that you might want to consider: (1) of the two kaweco skyline sport fountain pens i've ordered, both suffered from a mild case of baby's bottom -- nothing a couple passes through gradations of micromesh can't fix, but something to consider nonetheless; (2) speaking of their nibs, the two i ordered came with extra-fine nibs that wrote more like fine nibs, wider in comparison to my ef twsbi mini and ef faber-castell loom; and (3) kaweco's squeeze converter seems less than ideal, which is a real shame because these newer sport fountain pens cannot accept the monteverde mini-converters.

keeping these things in mind, i would still recommend this pen as a great pocket-friendly writing instrument!

I love this pen. It always writes right out of my pocket, and works great on many types of paper. The size is perfect for me, and I can jot a quick note without posting the cap. It fits great in the watch pocket of my jeans, next to a Swiss army knife and small flashlight. It's an all around great pen.

This is my second Skyline (first is Mint), so I knew this was the perfect pocket pen. I added the nice clip & it looks just perfect for a more business-appearing pocket FP. The EF is smooth, writes well, & the pen is just perfect. Having small hands, I can write with it posted or not, but there is a reason people continue to return to these pens. Enjoy!
