DescriptionSpecificationsQuestions & Answers
Set includes six 2B grade wooden pencils.

Each triangular shaped wooden pencil features high quality, artist-grade graphite lead. Pencils are oversized for ergonomic comfort and measure approximately 1 cm long per edge. They provide a silky-smooth laydown of graphite, are comfortable to grip, and can be sharpened in any standard large-hole pencil sharpener. They are the perfect pencils for any sort of sketching needs. Each pencil is approximately 7 inches (17.7 cm) long.

It was love at first sniff when I opened the package containing these blessedly oversized pencils. They not only smell great -- like pencils, of course -- they are comfortably balanced in my hand, leaving me with an overwhelming need to draw something. The slightly softer (darker) lead is a joy as well, and I look forward to experimenting with the other grades of lead (or graphite or whatever it is). All in all, one of the best tools I've gotten in my late-middle-aged attempt to finally learn to sketch.

With the exception of for-children who are just learning to write (or draw), I am not sure why anyone would purchase or use these pencils. These oversized pencils are cumbersome and uncomfortable to use. If one wanted to cover a broad area then one could easily find an appropriately sized graphite stick or a woodless pencil that would do the job more efficiently and aesthetically. Marketing rubbish. That's all these are. Koh-I-Noor is calling this graphite grade, 2B. No way in the world is this comparable to the best 2B graded pencils. These pencil grade on par with an H or an HB pencil at best. What this mean is that the Triograph pencil graded 6B is probably more akin to an average 2B pencil grade. (I don't know for sure, because I only purchased the 2B - 6-Pack from JetPens.com.)

Anyway, a word to the wise draftsperson: avoid this product.
