This surprisingly creative design allowed this highlighter to win the 2007 Kokuyo Design award. Dubbed “Beetle” due to its interesting tip shape, the highlighter is capable of three functions in one. It can highlight in fine lines, broad lines, and double lines (one above and below the text).
This allows you to have three functions in one highlighter pen.

 this is so far, my favorite..., February 9, 2010this is so far, my favorite highlighter and for those who are hesitant about the
usefulness in such a unique tip shouldn't ponder. the special tip really is
useful.
but i can't give it 5 stars because the ink isn't the bright orange i hoped it
to be. for those of you who likes the more duller highlighters then it will be a
perfect fit.

 Love this highlighter!..., August 18, 2010Love this highlighter! The tip might appear slightly vulgar to the dirty minded
but it operates as advertised. It works great following along in printouts with
presentations by allowing varied highlighting methods. This gets daily use.

Wonderful for students! Makes note-taking a clean and organized experience and
the colors are perfect. I prefer more subtle tones in a highlighter and these
are my favorites.

Hands down, my favorite set of highlighters.
To put it succinctly:
- color is vivid, but not glaringly bright
- does not bleed through paper (You can still see a shadow on the other side of
the paper though.)
- does not smear ink! (have not tried on pencil, but don't intend on doing so)
I hope these get restocked by the time I run out of highlighter juice!

I am disappointed to give this product a 4 star review. It was an absolutely
perfect highlighter for me before tonight. I will first say that with this
yellow color (I have all colors) it is the lightest and hardest to notice. For
me that is great for others maybe not. I love the above and below idea and I
think it works great. If the letters you are highlighting are really large than
it might not stretch far enough but for most books I have read since I started
using these highlighters it is perfect.
Again I will preface this negative statement with I love these highlighters. I
have been using them for about 2 months. Tonight however with a fairly new
yellow pen I had the unfortunate experience of the small tip breaking off. I do
have a heavier hand but never before other than cheap lead in mechanical pencils
have I broken a tip. This might have been a defective product or it may be a
regular thing. I will update this rating in one month. But for now be aware this
may be an issue for you too. It is worth taking the chance though, these
highlighters are awesome and unique.
