This is a very unique pen, which I love! The mul-tip-le (haha, I'm such a dork :P) tip option is very cool, but was not too useful, although I like to use it to underline. My only issue is that the ink is a little faint for my taste, although it is VERY cool. But then again, it is Japanese, of course it's cool :D

Wonderful for students! Makes note-taking a clean and organized experience and the colors are perfect. I prefer more subtle tones in a highlighter and these are my favorites.

Hands down, my favorite set of highlighters.

To put it succinctly:
- color is vivid, but not glaringly bright
- does not bleed through paper (You can still see a shadow on the other side of the paper though.)
- does not smear ink! (have not tried on pencil, but don't intend on doing so)

I hope these get restocked by the time I run out of highlighter juice!

this is so far, my favorite highlighter and for those who are hesitant about the usefulness in such a unique tip shouldn't ponder. the special tip really is useful.
but i can't give it 5 stars because the ink isn't the bright orange i hoped it to be. for those of you who likes the more duller highlighters then it will be a perfect fit.

I am disappointed to give this product a 4 star review. It was an absolutely perfect highlighter for me before tonight. I will first say that with this yellow color (I have all colors) it is the lightest and hardest to notice. For me that is great for others maybe not. I love the above and below idea and I think it works great. If the letters you are highlighting are really large than it might not stretch far enough but for most books I have read since I started using these highlighters it is perfect.

Again I will preface this negative statement with I love these highlighters. I have been using them for about 2 months. Tonight however with a fairly new yellow pen I had the unfortunate experience of the small tip breaking off. I do have a heavier hand but never before other than cheap lead in mechanical pencils have I broken a tip. This might have been a defective product or it may be a regular thing. I will update this rating in one month. But for now be aware this may be an issue for you too. It is worth taking the chance though, these highlighters are awesome and unique.

Great highlighter, the three different ways to highlight really helps my studying. My only complaint is that the thick highlighting tip could have been thicker, so it would cover more of my writing.

Love this highlighter! The tip might appear slightly vulgar to the dirty minded but it operates as advertised. It works great following along in printouts with presentations by allowing varied highlighting methods. This gets daily use.

I love the bright colors of these highlighters! I can't find the same quality in Bic or any of the other highlighters I use. The only downside is that in order to have the solid highlight to cover the whole text, you must tilt your hand back in order for the solid tip to highlight the whole text.

The Kokuyo highlighters are the best. I use them for academic reading, and it's really nice to be able to highlight footnote text as cleanly as one can highlight main text. I don't ever use the double-line, but I can imagine other folks really digging that part of it. Great color, no bleed. They don't last the longest, but that's not a deal breaker for me.

And I've never had any of their pieces break off, just to weigh in on that point.

The best, Beetle Tips Pen is truly three pens in one, great for highlighting, underlining and color coding.

These are awesome highlighters for the super-organized. I can't believe I haven't had them until now!

FYI: this applies to all beetle tips.
If you are not careful, you can get he skinny tip of the highlighter caught on the cap and gets it easily ripped off. i like the design but for the price, a dual tip is more practical. Also the clip part of the cap pops off sometimes.

I simply love the design of this highlighter. It makes it very easy for me to code my notes by assigning a meaning to each possible way of highlighting. The color is wonderful, and is not harsh, but not dull. Great for students!

It's actually a very light colored green highlighter. The design is pretty neat and it works. I would definitely consider buying the other colors.

This is an excellent set of highlighters. Nice colouring and very innovative design. Will definitely refill these later.

I really like the color of this highlighter. it is one of the lightest green colored highlighters I've used. From my monitor, the color is slightly darker than the picture.

although they are a bit expensive, i still love them :)
i showed it to my coworkers and they thought it was pretty neat!
totally different and cool! I'd buy them again!
