Description
This surprisingly creative design allowed this highlighter to win the 2007 Kokuyo Design award. Dubbed “Beetle” due to its interesting tip shape, the highlighter is capable of three functions in one. It can highlight in fine lines, broad lines, and double lines (one above and below the text).

This allows you to have three functions in one highlighter pen.

Very useful for students!

I am disappointed to..., February 19, 2011
I am disappointed to give this product a 4 star review. It was an absolutely
perfect highlighter for me before tonight. I will first say that with this
yellow color (I have all colors) it is the lightest and hardest to notice. For
me that is great for others maybe not. I love the above and below idea and I
think it works great. If the letters you are highlighting are really large than
it might not stretch far enough but for most books I have read since I started
using these highlighters it is perfect.
Again I will preface this negative statement with I love these highlighters. I
have been using them for about 2 months. Tonight however with a fairly new
yellow pen I had the unfortunate experience of the small tip breaking off. I do
have a heavier hand but never before other than cheap lead in mechanical pencils
have I broken a tip. This might have been a defective product or it may be a
regular thing. I will update this rating in one month. But for now be aware this
may be an issue for you too. It is worth taking the chance though, these
highlighters are awesome and unique.

I love the bright colors..., December 2, 2009
I love the bright colors of these highlighters! I can't find the same quality in
Bic or any of the other highlighters I use. The only downside is that in order
to have the solid highlight to cover the whole text, you must tilt your hand
back in order for the solid tip to highlight the whole text.

The Kokuyo highlighters..., December 25, 2012
The Kokuyo highlighters are the best. I use them for academic reading, and it's
really nice to be able to highlight footnote text as cleanly as one can
highlight main text. I don't ever use the double-line, but I can imagine other
folks really digging that part of it. Great color, no bleed. They don't last the
longest, but that's not a deal breaker for me.
And I've never had any of their pieces break off, just to weigh in on that
point.

FYI: this applies to..., September 29, 2011
FYI: this applies to all beetle tips.
If you are not careful, you can get he skinny tip of the highlighter caught on
the cap and gets it easily ripped off. i like the design but for the price, a
dual tip is more practical. Also the clip part of the cap pops off sometimes.

Wonderful for students!..., July 15, 2010
This review is from Kokuyo Beetle Tip 3way Highlighter Pen - 5 Color Set
Wonderful for students! Makes note-taking a clean and organized experience and
the colors are perfect. I prefer more subtle tones in a highlighter and these
are my favorites.
