2B almost perfect! This...

2B almost perfect! This is a really nice dark lead. I love the 2B hardness (or
would that be softness?) as it leaves a nice dark line, but is still eraserable.
This lead writes smooth (not as smooth as Pentel Stien) with no scratchy areas
or skips (I hate soft leads that suddenly have a hard scratchy area). There is
some graphite blobs that occur if your shading heavily (pretty typical with a
softer lead- but there seemed to be a bit more than usual, not a deal breaker,
but just an observation). This lead also wears a bit faster then Pentel or Uni
offerings. Where it really shines (or maybe dulls?) is the consistent dark,
duller lines. It really is a less shiny (less reflective??) lead. That I like
because often times I'm working in direct sunlight and the glare off some leads
can make the lines hard to deal with (I use these softer leads in woodworking
because they produce an easy to see dark line, and the softer lead is less prone
to snap on rough wood). So far there have been no jamming or feed issues when
used in my Graphgear 1000. The case the lead comes in is nice. The lid flips
over to reveal alomost half the tube- so be carefully when removing leads as you
could easily spill half a container. My lid seems a bit loose on the 0.9mm size
but not so on the 1.3mm. One other note is that both my containers state made
in Korea. Not a big deal to me as the quality is still there, but I know some
people may be concerned about where they lead is made.
