The Kokuyo Report Pad is a simple notepad that was designed for students, but is also ideal for anyone who likes their work to be neat and orderly. Each pad comes with a slightly thick guide sheet that is printed with 0.7 mm rule on one side and a 0.7 mm grid on the other. Simply place the guide underneath the blank sheet you are working on, to neatly align all your notes and drawings. The sheets are made of smooth, high quality paper.

If you like Tamoe River paper, you will like this stuff as well. This paper is just a bit heavier than Tamoe River, a little more opaque, but the surface is the same velvety smooth texture that handles fountain pens fearlessly. I used my wettest writers and dip pens, and there was no feathering or bleed-through. Really lovely stuff, at a bargain price.

Not what I would consider a substitute for Tomoe River paper. This Kokuyo paper doesn’t have TR's onion-skin look and feel. However, this paper is excellent in its own right. It's lightweight, somewhat translucent (in an elegant way), and smooth. It shows off sheening inks well, if you're into that kind of thing. :p The B5 size is perfect for personal correspondence. The line/grid guide sheet (placed under the sheet you're writing on) comes in handy.

The paper is GREAT. I just wish the binding was a little stronger. In order to write, you need to flip the top & all pages but the one you're using open, and often this causes earlier pages to tear out. As someone who prefers an intact notebook, I'd rather it stayed together.
That being said the paper is smooth and takes ink really well, even my wettest fountain pens, no feathering or bleeding. If you're looking for something to use ultimately as loose-leaf, this is it!

Lightweight smooth paper that stands up to almost everything I use on it. 1 mm gel pens were just on the brink of bleed through with heavier pressure. Should keep in mind that this is not a paper that can be used on both sides. Even pencil was easily readable from the opposite face. The included guide is a nice addition having two options at your disposal.

Like their Campus notebooks this is something I will buy again. Kokuyo paper is very nice and quickly became a favorite.

Beautiful stuff. Very thin, lightweight paper but also feels surprisingly strong. Very similar to Tomoe River, but feels a little more robust. Excellent for use with fountain pens, beautiful smooth writing surface with no feathering or bleeding - although due to the very thin paper the ghost image of the writing is visible on the back of the page which could be a problem for some people although I don't mind. I use mine as loose leaf, either in a Filofax Deskfax at native B5 size or cutdown to just over Filofax Personal size (ffx personal is 171mm tall, just under the width of a B5 page) and punched appropriately. The only problems I have with it are that nobody in the UK stocks this paper, and also it would be great if we could persuade Filofax themselves to print their organiser inserts on this stuff instead of the dreadful paper they currently use...
