Soft and sweet, the pastel body of this mechanical pencil is positively scrumptious! Not only is its clean and airy design lovely to look at, it comes chock-full of functional features. The long twist eraser has a diameter of 0.2 inches (0.55 cm) and a length of 0.7 inches (1.8 cm) and its hexagonal shape makes it easier to precisely erase small areas. It doesn't hurt either that it comes in a cute color that matches the pencil body! The pencil also has a large opening for inserting lead, so it's simple to refill. What's more, lead waste is minimized, because you can use it up until the last 3 mm of lead. Lastly, there is a hole under the clip where you can string a chain or lanyard. Now you can conveniently carry your pen around with you wherever you go!

I really like this pencil!...

I really like this pencil! I've read from other reviews it got jammed and although I don't know how it got jammed for them, I personally think it's from putting too much pressure on the lead. I write lightly, but put enough pressure for the lead to clearly transfer onto the page and the pencil hasn't rebelled yet. It might also be easier to write at an angle so as not to shove the lead upwards when writing.

These pencils are super duper cute and great in general. They can hold graphite up to the very last of it and they're easy to refill. The body is comfortable to hold and these are one of my favorite pencils.

I bought the same pencil...

I bought the same pencil over 10 years ago when I studied abroad in Japan and promptly broke the clip. It sat in a drawer for years and years until I found it recently and decided I needed to replace it for sentimental purposes. The design is unlike any other pencil I have, and I love the pastel purple. The "screw" style eraser is so clever, but sometimes it rolls itself down as I'm using it. The grip isn't soft, but it has a sort of rubbery finish that keeps it in place. I hold my pencils very close to the tip, so the ridges sometimes press into my finger, but for the most part, it's a great pencil!

This is the same pencil I got from the Japanese college 6years ago and I've been searching for it since. There are some kinks with the pencil however. The jamming that some of the previous review have mentioned, well they are not exadurating the problem. However the pencil might just need some breaking in. If you purchase this pencil keep in mind it works best with only one piece of lead in the pencil at a time. If more then a .25 inch of lead breakes of you can actually slide it back in the tip and continue writting without it behaving as if it is broken. The eraser is great, and for the price this pencil is decent. The one I recieved 6years ago is still functioning and I use it daily.
