All of the great features..., August 24, 2012
This review is from Kokuyo Cover Notebook - A5 (5.8" X 8.3") - Normal Rule - 26 Lines X 80 Sheets
All of the great features of Kokuyo’s paper with a more sturdy, sewn binding.
The paper is identical to that used in the standard Campus paper, though
slightly different in color. It holds up very well to fountain pen ink and most
gel pens except those with a 1.0mm tip. Some roller-ball pens—especially the
Lamy M66 capless roller-ball found in the Lamy Swift—will noticeably bleed
through. The paper texture is very smooth.

These are wonderful notebooks...., November 8, 2011
This review is from Kokuyo Cover Notebook - A5 (5.8" X 8.3") - Normal Rule - 26 Lines X 80 Sheets
These are wonderful notebooks. They have silly gold metal corners that probably
keep the corners from fraying but the fact that they are plastic covers of just
the right density means that it is very easy to write while holding the notebook
in one hand and writing with the other. Because they are plastic they are
impervious to food and wet things and just about everything. But the very best
thing about them is that they accept carbon black ink very quickly and are dry
in an instant which is unusual. They don't blob or spread but make a very, very
nice clean line with a fountain pen and because the line dries so fast us
lefties can write over other previous writing and not smear. But you cannot
write on the back of the page as they do bleed through just enough to make
anything you write on the front of the page obscure what ever you might want to
write on the back. That's a small price to pay to be able to use my fountain pen
cleanly and neatly. I use my 3 constantly and can't imagine what I'll do when
they discontinue them. I guess I should stock up on the refills since the covers
seem to last for ever.
