Really cute design and..., November 4, 2010
Really cute design and color! I love the pink and the aspect of having so many
fresh corners to erase with.
The actual function of the eraser is just so-so. It left some pencil marks
behind and would be fine for school work or general writing. I wouldn't plan to
use this for drawing, though.
I'll buy the refills, but for any serious documents I prefer the Tombow Knock
eraser (sold on JetPens, btw).

I am very fond of Japanese..., February 15, 2012
This review is from Kokuyo KadoKeshi Stick Mini Twist Eraser - Blue
I am very fond of Japanese office products. Often when I visited Japan and
certainly when I lived there for extended periods, I would come back to the US
with a stash of new things: small staplers, notebooks, mechanical pencils,
pencil cases, etc..
This twist eraser aroused my curiosity and has a number of positive features. It
is compact. It erases cleanly. Refills are available. It is not absurdly
expensive. I suppose if I wanted to attach it to something the strap might be
useful. I make too many mistakes to want to bother attaching and detaching an
eraser. Do I regret that I bought it? No. Would I buy another one? Probably not.
Although it is compact, this is only because it is short. It is about as big
around as a more "conventional" eraser stick. I don't find the level of control
over what I erase to be as good as with a Sanford Tuff Stuff Eraser Stick. The
Tuff Stuff Eraser is tapered at the tip (like a mechanical pencil) so you can
actually see where the eraser is, unlike with this one where the holder/case
tends to obscure where the actual eraser and the many corners are. I don't own
one yet, but the Tombow Mono Zero line is what seems to come closest to the
Sanford eraser. For more extensive erasing I prefer the Rotring Tikky Eraser
which advances the eraser stick and at least used to be made in Japan. The
Pentel Clic Eraser series has one version that has a flat metal case with a
rectangular eraser that is useful for erasing ink, but might fit some pencil
erasers with a similar form factor.
So, not a bad product by any means, but perhaps too much on the cute novelty
side for me and not quite as well suited to my own needs as other products on
the market, and other products available at this site.

The purpose of the corners..., September 20, 2010
This review is from Kokuyo KadoKeshi Stick Mini Twist Eraser - White
The purpose of the corners are to make it easier to erase particular lines
without accidentally erasing something else in the process.
I was lured to purchase this since I am a big fan of the 28-Corner Eraser
version. I use my planner as a scrapbook/sketch book and needed something
portable that doesn't collect dirt everywhere. I especially loved how the cap
has a strap attached to it as opposed to the Tombo Mono One where you can loose
the cap in an instant. However, this mini stick eraser is a bit too soft for my
taste. I would be erasing something and the eraser would bend increasing the
effort to erase a simple line. I love the concept and the cap for this
particular mini twist eraser, but the Tombo Mini One Twist eraser is the best so
far from my experience.
