This is a nice pencil case, with two inner compartments and the main feature is
that it stands alone upright. It fits around 18 writing/drawing instruments when
zipped open, but only around 10 when zipped shut. But this would probably be
fine for many people.
If I could go back in time, I would instead have bought the Nomadic PE-06 Side
Zipper pencil case.

May 22, 2008
Nice gimmick case for a minimalist sketching kit, but the Kokuyo Kaddy can hold
a few more tools. The bright interior orange liner makes the contents easier to
spot by contrast. The small interior pocket and pouch can hold cases of leads
and small erasers. Functional case, though it does not feel very sturdy on top.
Will be interesting to see how well the stitches withstand normal wear and the
extent of the rip resistance of the orange liner.

A great case! It holds 9-12 utensils comfortably. It works smoothly, but the
best thing is just having a case that stands up on its own; it makes switching
pens and pencils so easy. It even has a little bit of padding at the top to help
protect its precious contents.

I love it. It is the only pencil case that I have that stands up on a steady
base and never threatens to fall over. I have 50 colored pencils in it. It zips
up really tight but I usually pack up my cases pretty full. So far very durable.
I use it on planes as well as at home. If I didn't have it so packed with
pencils it would easily hold an eraser and a compact pencil sharpener.

Kokuyo NeoCritz Transformer Pencil Case - Dark Green / Yellow
I just wanted to write a follow up review of my previous one. I often find it
helpful to know if the product will last after the initial year.
I still love my transformer pencil case and it's held up wonderfully. I got it
last year in January and it still is extremely sturdy after all the abuse I put
it through. I carry it from school to work to home and the seams are still as
tight as every, though I've overstuffed it and the internal structure still
stands up perfectly. I can sort through my pens in no time to pick the write
tool.
Anywho, I have nothing but good things to say about this pencil case. I highly
recommend it to anyone.

this case is pretty stable upright. i was able to fit 15 pens of various sizes +
1 highlighter + an eraser (that was about the max i could fit). it's pretty snug
when it's zipped. I also ordered the nomadic standing pencil case, which can
hold a lot more but tends to lean forward when it's upright.

Good, durable pen case. however i must give it 4 stars due to the fact that when
you put something in the middle pocket, it holds less than expected. Mabey six
writing utensils of different sizes. it is very good for holding lead.

Kokuyo NeoCritz Transformer Pencil Case - Dark Blue / Blue
Just got it after wait no longer than 2 days on regular shipping. Amazing
service as usual. The case is one of my favorites, love the wait it opens up and
i can use it as a pen holder as well as a pencil case. There are 2 secret
pockets inside that good for small things like erasers, refills or small
correction tape. Easily hold 9-10 pens, i like the fat ones so i usually fit 8.
anything more than that and it gets a little hard to zip back up.
Conclusion: fair priced, ergonomic, stylish and innovative pen case. Definitely
a must buy for any student, professional or pen enthusiast.

Very good value for the price. It holds my fountain pens and highlighters (total
9 pens) very well. Folding is great, just like what you'd expect. There is a
secret velcro pocket that is handy for small things. I store extra fountain pen
cartridges there. Overall, very good.

Kokuyo NeoCritz Transformer Pencil Case - Dark Green / Yellow
Awesome, awesome pencil case. Colour is slightly darker than on screen, but it
looks better in person. Base is very sturdy and doesn't tip over at all. The
height can holy full length pencils which is something I was initially worried
about.
Testing the storage capabilities, I was able to fit either:
- 17 Sakura inking pens (25 if open)
- 9 Copic markers (13 if open)
It's a fairly tight squeeze if you want to add an eraser at the bottom, but
definitely a small detail that can be overlooked.
I'm 100% satisfied with this product.

Works exactly as designed! This is the perfect thing to travel between your
home, school and studio, because you can bring along all your most used pens and
set up shop where ever you go. It's lightweight with a good amount of padding
and structure.

Kokuyo NeoCritz Transformer Pencil Case - Dark Green / Light Green
This is my fourth pencil case from JetPens and the first one I love!
Why do i love it so much? Well, it's both a pencil case and a pencil cup.
I love opening it, standing it up, and peeling the sides down. It's like
opening a present full of pens every day! Plus it's super portable. I can grab
it from my desk and throw it in my backpack without going through the agonizing
choice of what pens bring with me every day. I can bring all of them! I have
15 pens and pencils in there now, which is about the max.
Color is quite true to the photos. The lining is a bright cheery green.
The exterior is closer to dark gray than dark green. Very attractive.
To sum up, it's attractive, holds a lot!, stands up, and is very portable.
If you're thinking of buying one, I recommend it highly.

Kokuyo NeoCritz Transformer Pencil Case - Dark Green / Yellow
Shipping: Very impressive! It took Jetpen only 9 days in total to pack and ship
this case to Sydney, Australia! I guess the credit also goes to USPS (I used
First Class shipping, which usually takes 2 weeks or more), but Jetpen was
really fast with their packing, as promised. Very happy here!
Product: The case looks big in the picture, but is quite small in my hands. The
green fabric has a subtle 'grid' pattern, which is nice to look at, rather than
just a pure green nylon outer casing. The case is relatively soft, due to a
minimal layer of foam in between the fabrics. I would love to have a harder foam
insert to better protect the pens and toughen up the case, but I guess this will
do.
The secret to this style of pencil case is a piece of flat, rectangular
cardboard or plastic (I hope it's the later, which is tougher and
water-resistant) hidden between the fabrics that bends and curves around the
case, allowing it to stand up solidly. Then again, it's a bit on the thin side
so I'm a bit afraid that without packing this case with pens, you will end up
crushing it in your bag and permanently flatten it!
If you have mechanical pencils, chances are that the pointy guide pipes will
eventually poke through either sides of the case: the zipper and especially the
broad side (a.k.a. bottom of the standing case) because the fabric there is
thin. But this happened to almost every nylon case that I've owned in the past,
too. Therefore, leave your pencils pointing up and not over-pack the case,
guys.
Overall this is a lightweight, functional, minimalist pencil case that you can
show off your absolute essential tools of trade and nothing more. A perfect EDC
or every day carry. For the hoarders out there, steer clear, unless you want to
add this to your even larger collections of stuffs you carry around! :D

My kids gave me one for my birthday and it is AWESOME.
Holds a lot of pens and functions well as a pen cup when I'm working in and out
of my studio.
Very handy and compact. I recommend it HIGHLY!

this pencil case looks good but doesnt hold all of my stationery (which is about
ten pencils, and 7 pens), doesnt have much room, and when you put a normal
eraser in there, its quite a challenge to get out. also it is very expensive. my
friend bought this and told me to get the Nomadic PE-08 pencil case instead.

Big when open, small once closed. And you can't put that much in the little
pockets and you need small fingers to reach what you put in them. will hold

I really like this case, a lot. It looks cool (I love the color!), its
functional, and it holds everything I need it to. It even has a compartment to
hold my fountain pen cartridges. The case has held up well after being in and
out of my bag so much (a few minor dings but none of the fabric is torn/frayed).
I use mine almost exclusively at work. The only thing I could think of that I
might change is maybe adding a divider in the main compartment for some level of
organization of pens, rather than having them all in one bundle. Overall, this
is an excellent case. If you're considering the Transformer at all, don't
hesitate, just click "Add to Cart."

The only thing that I would say is bad about these is that they first of all
don't hold a lot and secondly don't stand up well.
Whenever I am in a class taking a test or quiz they keep falling over and all
the contents would fall out. Plus, it is distracting to you and the class and
wastes your time!
The good part is that it can be convenient to see all your
pens/pencils/supplies.

Solid construction. Rigid base allows it to be used as both a case and unfolded
to use as a stand. Lots of room on the inside, despite its outside appearance.
Comfortably fits between five and eight writing utensils. Front pouch will fit
eraser/lead refills for mech pencils, or an eraser. Interior hidden velcro
compartment will fit inch-long articles like some of the smaller erasers out
there. Highly recommended.

I got my transformer pencil case in green the other day and I absolutely love

quite a few pens and/or pencils. I think they will provide excellent value for
the money spent. Thanks Jet Pens!
