It is exactly what I needed for those days when I don't need a gym bag for a
pencil case. I usually have a legion of pencils/pens and craft tools in my
pencil case, but when I only have a few classes that day, I stick with this mini
pencil case. :) Excellent product!

Love it!! I have a couple of lamy, Pilot, and Platinum fountain pens in this
case. It is protective, petite and just a nice little pen case to toss in my
backpack. I plan on getting another one to hold a few highlighters and a couple
of pens to toss on my medcart at work. I particularly like that the shell casing
is liquid resistant....a must when using on a medcart. Thanks again for a new
and useful product and the most absolutely wonderful customer service ever.

Size: Great, I can fit a small number of pens/pencils for general daily use.
Usually a couple pens, highlighter, and pencil.
Zipper: Catches and can occasionally make closing awkward. I do like the pull
tab.
Interior space: I appreciate that it doesn't have individual pockets for each
pen so you can store larger pens or markers.

Now then, this pencil case is a bit special! The surface, although hard foam
plastic, has the look of smooth leather about it though, its being plastic adds
a degree of firmness to the construction which will be ideal for protecting
those treasured pens/pencils. Stands very well when open though it doesn't roll
down like a NeoCritz, not that it needs to as the contents are still easily
accessible and the case is surprisingly stable for something so narrow. Looks
every inch the executive pen case.
I bought mine to house my favourite fountain pens when on the road and it's
proving to be ideal for the purpose - I usually carry three fountain pens so as
to have a variety of nib sizes/inks available as I travel.

Kokuyo Will Stationery Actic Pencil Case - Black
I do not understand how someone could honestly write that they can only hold 5
pens or pencils in this case. I own both the small size and large, inside the
small I carry 2 Kaweco sport fountain pens (large diameter), 1 Propus
Highlighter, and one jet stream ball point pen. It is tight but never a problem
zipping or bulging. I don't carry the large as often but I can fit much more in
that than in the small, do the math. This case can fit more than "5 pens or
pencils" comfortably.
Very sturdy, opens well and stands perfect even when loaded to the max. Very
nice product especially if you have a bunch of stuff in your pack and don't want
the case to bend or get beat up.

Mini Stationery Actic Rocks
Kokuyo has done a good job with the design and use of materials for this case. I
really like how it stays open when it's unzipped, this gives me easy access to
my pencil, eraser, and highlighter. This being the Mini version slips easily
into my back pocket or carried with a text book and folder, it looks nice and
keeps your my stationery items secure. The body is a hard foam like material
that flexes but is also ridged enough to prevent my stuff from getting crushed
if placed in a back pack full of books. Design wise I think the case has a very
well crafted look, its so streamlined and minimal, this is my first product from
Kokuyo and it will not be my last either. Thanks to JetPens for stocking a
wonderful product.

Great little handy thing....,

Kokuyo Will Stationery Actic Pencil Case - Black
Great little handy thing. I bought this to dodge my previous problem of having
so many pencils stuffed in one bag that I'd always have to go digging for
things. This works beautifully and carries just what I need along with some
extras. Contents as of now: 1 6-inch ruler, 3 drafting pencils, 1 container of
Ain lead, 2 small eraser refill tubes, 1 Tuff Stuff knock eraser, 1 Pilot
envelope addressing pen, 1 Zebra brush pen, 1 3-color Slicci multipen, 2 Style
Fit single slim pens, and a Boxy eraser that fits in the gap between the pens
and the top of the case. Works just as advertised and has protective shell-like
sides and a small footprint on my desk. My one issue is that the zipper does
tend to get stuck at the top because of the way the end of the zipper track
tucks into the case and dangles loose there - you have to pinch the top while
beginning to zip it closed. This could be remedied by a few stitches or a dab of
good glue.
Overall a nice solid case that does exactly what I want it to. I've had it for a
while now and abused it in an overstuffed bookbag - it hasn't taken a bit of
damage. You're paying for very solid construction.

Great little case. I like being able to carry just a few pencils in a protective
case. I got the larger version for when I am carrying other items and is nice
for longer outings when I might need other gear.

AWESOME CASE... hahaha
This pencil case is probably one of the best I've had and seen.
considering the price... It's pretty pricy, but it will last a long time.
It's not as big as the neocritz, if you have one. It can fit about 6
pens/pencils, an eraser, and a lead container. very durable, keeps its shape,
great material/workmanship, scuffs and marks wipe off... just a great case to
throw anywhere... literally.

This case is FABULOUS!! I love that it's a hard sided case - I have a lot of
heavy items in my bag and this hold ups to them. The zipper is smooth and the
case stands up very nicely. I am able to carry a fountain pen and brush pen now
without worrying if they will get mooshed in my bag. It is very well made, and
it holds more than I thought it would. I have a mechanical pencil, click eraser,
fountain pen, 3 brush pens and a lead refill cartridge in it and I could get at
least three more items in it. It will fit very tall writing instruments. I love
it!!

I buy several mechanical pencils every year, and have trouble parting with any
of them. As a result, my collection has grown to a point where even the ones
that I like to use don't fit in my pencil case. This led me to this product.
In general I like the design, and I may buy the smaller one as well so that I
can sort my pencils by manufacturer and have a color-coded set of pencil cases.
This particular case is currently holding 9 pencils and there is significant
room to spare. It does stand up on a desk as shown, and this can be convenient
when your large desk is as cluttered as mine is.
Based on prior reviews and my own experience with this case, it seems like the
zipper can be a problem. If the case is to open all the way, and form a stable
base, then on mine (as is the case in the review written by Lil) when you fully
open this, there is a strong tendency for the zipper to get stuck, and this is
annoying. I tend to open the case once or twice a day, and so for me, this is a
small annoyance. For a student moving from classroom to classroom to library to
cafe to... this could be a more significant annoyance. I don't know whether it
is a common feature and some just don't open the case fully, or whether it is a
common flaw on a fraction of these pencil cases.
All in all I like it, and would buy it again. If the zipper issue were fixed, I
would give it the full five stars, but with this problem, four stars.

The other reviewers point out the good features of this pencil case, so I will
mention only the negative aspects. This would be a very good pencil case, but
no bargain, at $5.99. For S12.50 you expect something special. Particularly
irksome is the cheap plastic zip pull, which could --for an additional
manufacturing expense of about .25-- could have been a stylish design point.
Instead it is a little scrap of the stuff they make kids' inflatable toys out
of. You can't even remove it to add your own pull. Shame on the designers!

Well made and pretty much just what you're looking at, though the finish is very
slightly sort of pearlescent, in a Tyvek-envelope sort of way. It's also not
quite as tiny as one might expect, at least, until you try to put more than a
couple of writing instruments in. It's completely stuffed at three Copic sketch
markers, or five Pilot Hi-Tec-C pens. Of course, tinyness is why I got it, so I
don't carry a giant arsenal around, but there's a bit more bulk than I'd
expected. If you're interested in standing it on end, it's not particularly
stable, owing to its size and accordant relative increase in effects of
irregularities in the base.

This case looks great. I'm able to hold(so far) and assortment of 11 different
stationary (pens/pencil/markers/highlighter/mini architectural ruler/exaco
knife/pen eraser+refills) items. Thick walls with smooth exterior and "hard"
textured interior. It has a great shape and easy to hold. It may be $16.50 but I
do feel it was worth it. Great product and highly recommended.

Very nice case, it stands up well on my desk and I can easily see the 5 or 6
pens and pencils inside. Two things that I don't like: (1) the inner mesh pocket
could have been the entire depth, but they made it only half -- not deep enough
to store Pilot ink cartridges or lead pencil refills; (2) the zipper sometimes
gets stuck at the top and I can't zip it closed without fiddling with it a lot
(after only 2 months of use).

I purchased the orange large case and really loved how sturdy it appeared to be,
as well as its ability to care a bunch of lamys. However, before purchasing the
black case, I was curious as to how sturdy the zipper was if overstuffed. Would
the stitching rip, would the zipper come off its tract. Not that I encourage
overstuffing, but I overstuffed the case to the max and managed to closer the
zipper without damage to the case or zipper itself. Thus, I felt satisfied that
indeed this was a sturdy product, able to hold up in the roughest of situations,
good for students or those who don't baby their tools. The outside wipes clean
quickly (if needed) and can take a beaten without showing off too many scuffs. I
am pleased with both my purchases and I do believe they will be in use a very
long time.
