Kokuyo Will Stationery Actic Triangular Grip Mechanical Pencil - 0.5 mm - Orange Grip

Comfortable triangular body, evenly balanced pencil.

The grip is not the squishy type, it feels more like rubberized plastic. It's personal preference if you like it or not, I do.

The triangular shape is both a blessing and a curse; it's comfortable to hold for long periods but it makes it difficult to rotate the pencil to wear down the lead evenly, so you always have a flat edge (which means a large, smudgy line). There is a slight upside because you can pick up the pencil and always know where the flat edge of the lead is (so you don't scratch the paper with the sharp edge). I wish it was available in 0.3 mm to offset this problem.

I recently finally got my order,this pencil is one of them. I really like this pencil. It fits great if you have fat fingers and the shape helps a bunch. I usually buy the more mid priced pencils rather then the cheep generics but this one is special to me. No bells and whistles here,but a good feeling pencil.and that's what counts here. Comfort.

I just ordered another one of these. I purchased several mechanical pencils of varying prices to try and I keep returning to this one. I tend to erase quite a bit so a long-lasting eraser is great for me. The pencil body is not too bulky and fits well in my hand. The quality of the eraser seems good as well - it is not crumbly like some.

The only attractive feature of this pencil is the triangular barrel, everything else is somewhat average which is fine considering the price point. The plastic internals aren't great and lead advance action is weak.

Bottom line, a fine bargin pencil. Don't expect Pentel P205 quality.
