Didn't work well for me. The sharpener creates a far too blunt point, and tears
up some colored pencils. On the good side: I like the little can, the lid fits
on securely, and the little plug works well too.

I want to love this sharpener, but it's chewing my pencils to bits. I've
sacrificed most a Derwent pencil to try and work out the problem, but I just
can't get it to sharpen smoothly and give the necessary fine point (heck, at
this point I'd be happy with a medium-fine point, as long as it didn't chew up
the wood). It does look very cute, though.

Very cute ,sharpens quite correctly, but kept opening in my bag. I bought it
because it looked like it wouldn't spill , it's not closed tightly actually. I
washed twice my pencil purse and then put it aside.

I teach middle schoolers in South Korea and while mechanical pencils (or
"sharps" as they're called) are popular, the majority of my students still use
wooden pencils. I've gone through a handful of cute (but ultimately cheaply
made) pencil sharpeners through the school year as they couldn't withstand the
intense sharpening needs of my students. I finally splurged a month ago and
purchased this sharpener. It's been amazing so far and does as advertised - it's
very easy to sharpen pencils, there's no tugging or stopping for inferior wood
issues, and all the pencils are perfectly sharp for my students.
