This has lately been one of my go-to inks when I'm not worried about how
waterproof the ink is (because it's not).
The ink is smooth, flows nicely, and lays down a rich, dark line. It lays down
even and dark with a brush, and there's no need to condense the ink. Next to Eon
Vortex, this is one of my favorite inks to use with a brush. With a nib, I have
no had it feather, and it dries reasonably fast. It dries semi glossy.
This ink is on par with the Kaimei ink (another Sumi ink), but seems to dry
faster. The price is the same between the two, and would be the best comparison.
The trade off is for the faster drying time, you must dip your pen more
frequently. Both are compatible with alcohol based markers (the main reason I
use sumi inks.
Whether I have this or Kaimei's ink makes no difference to me.
