Kuretake Tegami Refillable Letter Pen Refill - Super Fine Lettering Tip - Black

I bought one of these based on the other review and not wanting to shell out for an expensive pen I knew nothing about-- very impressed with the end result! I have medium sized hands and can still draw with the refill alone; no feathering and a quick drying dark ink. The tip is hard, but has some flexibility to it so you can get some variance in your lines/lettering. Definitely not like a brush, but it's not like the precision of a rollerball. Pleasant surprise, as I've bought other pens like this that often run into some kind of problem. Great for detail, too. When I run out of ink I'll probably buy the whole pen!

I bought this because I don't want to commit $27 before I know how the quality of the pen is.

I'm very pleased with what I got. The tip is kind of hard, but I guess it's because this is a super fine tip. If you have small hands, you can even use it as a pocket pen without the $27 body, which makes it a very good buy.

This pen is a joy to work with and nearly exactly replicates how Etegami should look, even without sumi ink. Super fun and inexpensive.

awesome. this pen can actually write/draw super delicate little lines and i love it, the brown color is dark but warm. i'm about to buy a bunch more of these. esp since i didnt even realize it was a refill and works just fine without the 25$ body, just sayin.

It writes. Therefore, I can't give less than 2 stars, since its a functional pen.
Other than that: spotty ink, sprays & splotches, sounds/feels very scratchy, skips a lot, and is twice as expensive as the Letter Pens rrefills for the Cocoiro pen body. Yea it fits the Cocoiro body, that's why I bought one. I figured, I love the Letter Pens and this is double the price so it must be better. I was WRONG :( I just don't get why this one is supposedly better.
