Between this pen and the Copic Spica glitter pen, I definitely like the Copic better. The glitter is a lot more noticeable. With the kuretake you have to tilt the paper just to see what you wrote. Not a bad pen, just not my favorite.

I was really let down...

I was really let down by this, almost no glitter would come out and the tip seemed like it was dried all the time despite following the storage instructions. I always felt like I was forcing it. Another note is that on certain surfaces it just leaves a 'wet' mark, not really any glitter in it but like you just drew with a clear pen and its line didn't fade. Perhaps I got one from a bad batch but it's not worth it to me to try another.

I prefer the Copic Spica, a lot more glitter and much smoother and easier to use.

I own every single color...

I own every single color in this line, and I love them all.

This "color" in particular, or rather lack of color, is very nice because I sometimes just want to add glitter over an existing color.

However, there are some cons to this marker.

If you use this on cheap, thin paper, especially (cheap, thin) colored paper, it may leave a faint "ghost" marking. No color, just an indication that something slightly wet was used. White or thicker paper doesn't seem to have this problem. I've been using it mainly on thin + colored paper, so this exacerbates the problem. I don't mind too much, though it is kind of a letdown when the "ghost" slightly alters the color I'm painting the glitter on. It kind of desaturates the color, if that makes sense.

Con #2, which is not too big of a con, but enough to note: this clear marker doesn't put down as much glitter as the colored markers do. Still glittery, but not a glitterbomb like the others. You'll have to really use a lot (and run the risk of getting a heavy "ghost") or just be okay with lesser glitter.

Even with these two minor problems, I still love it and find it absolutely versatile and essential to anyone's arsenal of markers. I will continue to use this until I find something better.

The glitter comes out...

The glitter comes out smooth and dries almost instantly. I also have the Copic Spica glitter pens, the body of the Kuretake is thicker, and feels a bit sturdier...I haven't decided which I like best.

I like the "clear" glitter in almost anything.
