It's a pencil highlighter! Because it's a pencil, this Kutsuwa HiLiNE highlighter writes smoothly and will never spread or bleed through to the other side of the paper the way conventional ink highlighters can. It can be used for marking notes, planners, newspapers, receipts, and more. Its wide lead core can be angled to draw thin underlines or thick highlights. You will never need to worry about it drying up or running out of ink unexpectedly, making it great for on-the-go use. A sharpener is conveniently incorporated into the cap.

To sharpen:
Gently insert the pencil straight into the sharpener. Then, twist the pencil lightly and slowly until the pencil is sharpened to a dull point. Making the point too sharp may cause the lead to break.

Note: the Pink and Orange pencils' writing is brighter and more fluorescent than it appears in the writing sample photos.

This is a top-quality item, and very economical. Bright, vivid yellow color; colored pencil style 'lead' will not dry out like marker-style highlighters. Does not smear most hand-written ink or laser-printed text, when using reasonable pressure on the point - but does take a few more strokes than comparable marker-style highlighters. Included cap/sharpener is a bonus.

Love this. Works great. Be careful, though. The "lead" is soft and breaks easily.

I really like this. I have a lot of editing to do this summer and so splurged on a number of drylighters including this one and the clutch pencil leads from e+m. I like the width of the clutch pencil line for highlighting text, but the color on these Kutsuwa pencils is much brighter. It just matches what I think a yellow highlighter color should be and so I find that I'm using it more than the clutch leads. The sharpener/cap falls off fairly easily if you don't press it on very firmly, but it makes a loud noise when it hits tile or concrete so I haven't lost it yet. I will pick up more of these for use in the future because I prefer the color. Now if I could just get one of these with a larger lead diameter or if they would make a 5.6 mm clutch lead in this color, I would be a happy woman.
