Includes tube with five refill 0.5 mm leads.

This Stad compass features a mechanical pencil design, which lets you draw a very thin lined circle. The lead is refillable, and extends with a click of the black knock button (on the pencil side), and the needle folds into the compass body itself for secure, and safe storage (on the needle side). When fully closed, the compass can act as a mechanical pencil for everyday writing. Includes five lead refill pieces, and will refill with any 0.5 mm lead. Multiple colors available.

I bought this a few weeks...

I bought this a few weeks ago. The mechanical pencil and unfold-able pin are excellent; I didn't need to fumble around with those little set screws. The die-cast frame was very poor quality, however. The pencil arm broke off at the hinge when I was folding it back up. I looked at the part that broke off and saw a casting flaw where more than 50% of the metal was absent. Since this was the narrowest part of the arm, its little surprise that it broke after a few weeks of regular use. My compass is now unusable.

Awesome! Love this pen/compass and saves me from having to carry both a pencil & a compass. My only wish is that the pin arm clicked into place a little more positively and that it weighed less but other than that, awesome.

This compas is brilliant!...

This compas is brilliant! It folds up into itself so the point is neatly tucked away making it convenient to carry around. The 0.05mm mechanical pencil is a great idea. How many times have you had to stop and re-sharpen the lead on your compas to get a consistant line? No problem here this little guy does the job and makes it convenient and easy to use too. I'm going to buy a second as a back up just in case they ever stop making it.
