I like the way this pen writes very well. The wooden body is very smooth and feels good in the hand. One wish - that I could post the cap when writing. The decorative ball at the end of the pen prevents you from doing this.

This is probably one of the smoothest fountain pens I have ever written with ! Even smoother than the the Safari model, which makes it ideal for everyday writing, especially for those who write quickly as it is not scratchy AT ALL like I've found many of the pilot fountain pens to be. I can see why Lamy is marketing this to younger writers because it seems pretty sturdy and is at a reasonable price. A really great fountain pen that anyone would be lucky to have as their first. Has anyone purchased this pen for a child? My nephew keeps eyeing my fountain pens with a childish lust and I would love to get him this one but I am afraid that he would leave it uncapped, or worse yet, take it a part and have ink all over the place. He is almost 9 years old.

super smooth pen. The nib is kinda wide, but that's ok (med nib). Super cute!

This is a great pen! The nib is smooth, and the pen feels great to hold. And it's a pretty playful design.

I know the ABC is meant to be a school fountain pen, but I think that I just might take mine everywhere I go!
