Lamy is a world-famous pen company headquartered in Germany. Their Al-Star line consists of high quality pens featuring aluminum bodies, steel nibs and self-sprung metal clips.

This pen is an OK pen,...
This pen is an OK pen, however I feel that the ink flow could be much more regular I am an "italic writer" and I use it at work which means I am writing quite fast, but I often get some blancs and the nib scratches on regular paper.
The pen is good on extra smooth paper though and is very well balanced.
For my handwriting the Kaweco sport pens are much much better.

I just received my pen...

I just received my pen today along with the converter and calligraphy (1.9) nib that I ordered and I already love it. I do a lot of writing and calligraphy and this pen is now being used to replicate a historical manuscript for a project and so far it's perfect!
