DescriptionSpecificationsFrequently Asked Questions (1)
Lamy is a world-renowned pen manufacturer headquartered in Germany. Its Al-Star line features high-quality pens composed of aluminum bodies, steel nibs, and self-sprung metal clips. They have a unique, modern aesthetic, and are well-designed.

This limited-edition Al-Star fountain pen features an alluring, unique blue green finish.

A variety of ink cartridges or a Lamy converter can be used. Installing ink cartridges is easy—simply insert the cartridge into the pen nib section (no need to push completely), then twist the barrel onto the nib section. Attaching the barrel automatically punctures and installs the ink cartridge.

This pen includes one blue Lamy T10 cartridge.

Q: My Lamy fountain came with ink in the nib. Did I receive a used pen?
Lamy dip tests its fountain pens at the factory, and it is not uncommon for new Lamy fountain pens to have some ink residue in the nib. As with all new fountain pens, we recommend giving your new Lamy a good cleaning before you use it. For more info, read How to Clean a Fountain Pen.

This is my 6th Lamy pen (all similar) and I have found that they seem to vary in function. Some vary in ink flow, especially if one writes a lot continuously while others vary in bib feel on paper. They all have this perfect feel for my fingers. So far, my Lamy Alstar has been great - I had to have it because of its striking color.
Ink flow does diminish some as one writes, but not enough to be a problem. The bib feel is great. I'm satisfied with the service, delivery and pen.
