4/5 only because of one thing--the cap keeps loosening when i carry in my pocket. i had to use some plumber's tape and it fixed the problem. it's a nice and compact pen overall. sometimes it would pop open if you carry it in your front pocket, which doesn't happen very often, but is nice to know. the coating is also very durable.

like all lamy products, it comes in a very nicely designed package. keep up the good work jetpens and lamy! hope to see more lamy products in the future!

This is a cute, solid little pocket pen. The refill doesn’t work very well, especially compared to Uni JetStream. However, if one is looking for a sturdy little pen to keep in one’s pocket all the time, the Pico fits the bill nicely. Lamy also makes a small leather slip-case for this pen, which will keep it from getting pocket-rash from rubbing against change and keys in your pocket.

I Love pens, specially mini ones. This one here is one of the best I got, and I got a lot..from the mini parkers, the mini prelude sheaffer, even the mini Caran d'ache. This one here is very small and light, yet expands to a full size pen. The refills are great, I dunno how did the other reviewer said it wrote cheap I actually used to stock on its refill whenever I go to London ( before I found them online). It is a pen u won't regret!

This is a great looking pen, no doubt. It's definitely fun to play around with and the compact form factor makes it extremely comfortable to carry around in a pocket.

Problem is, it's the worst writing utensil I've ever owned.

After using it for a couple weeks, it stopped writing, as if it had run out of ink. I don't do a lot of writing at all at work (most of my work is done on a computer) so I probably only got one week of life out of it.
I wrote an email to JetPens complaining about this, and they apologized and sent me a free ink refill right away (great customer service!)

I popped the new ink in, and the pen lived again! FOR ONE MORE WEEK.

It's currently just functioning as a piece of art on my desk at work. Every once in a while I pick it up and try to write with it, knowing I'm just going to end up disappointed.

Now, I think most of the blame lies with the ink cartridge ITSELF, because when I remove it from the pen body and try to write with it, it does the same thing, it acts likes it's bone dry, even though it's brand new.

So bottom line, if you want a good looking, compact pen and you don't really need it to work for more than a month, go with this one.
