Life is a jungle, and the Lamy Safari pen can take you through it one stroke at a time. The Safari was voted as Best Pen Under $100 in Stylus Magazine's 2007 review and is one of the most popular lines of Lamy, a world-famous pen company headquartered in Germany. The body is made of sturdy and colorful ABS plastic and features a flexible brass wire chrome clip and comfort molded grip section.

The Lamy conveniently refills with ink cartridges. There’s no need to push in cartridges, just insert cartridge and twist the barrel, and the pen tightens to puncture the cartridge itself.

This pen includes one Blue Lamy T10 cartridge.

Q: My Lamy fountain came with ink in the nib. Did I receive a used pen?
Lamy dip tests its fountain pens at the factory, and it is not uncommon for new Lamy fountain pens to have some ink residue in the nib. As with all new fountain pens, we recommend giving your new Lamy a good cleaning before you use it. For more info, read How to Clean a Fountain Pen.

I use Noodler's inks...

I use Noodler's inks at work, mostly the waterproof inks in bue, blue-black, dark green and green-black. Some of them flow a little wet, even on Clairefontaine 90g paper. I had been using a safari with a medium nib, but I find that the fine nib works much better with these inks. This pen along with the Bad Blue Heron ink are now my "go to" for taking notes at work.
