I don't think you can wrong with a Lamy, particularly the Safari. The problems the reviewer below had are rare. I've purchased 5 different Safaris, including the white model - which I love - and had no trouble. The pen is of solid make and design, durable, fun. With some fountain pen experience, I imagine any trouble with the nib could be easily fixed with just a few tweaks. Don't let an overall review score scare you away from this one. It's a fantastic pen.

Love the Safari pens! I've been drooling over the white for quite awhile now; so glad I bought it! I did swap out the F nib for the 1.9 CI nib and its wonderful!!

To clarify - I called Lamy - not Jet Pens. I've never had a problem with this seller.

Bad Pen - worse (so called) customer service. This pen never worked as well as expected. I called the company and was told to send them the pen along with a postage and handling fee of $9.50. Yeah - I don't think so. The pen only cost 25 bucks. This is my first and last Lamy. Buy a pack of Pilot Varsities. You get a full set of pens for half the price and they write like a dream. Lamy is a WASTE of MONEY.
