I really really want to LOVE this pen, but mostly, I just like it.
Pros: The cap sits well both on the nib end and when it is seated on the back of
the pen. The balance is great, it's not a heavy pen, and when the cap is on the
back end, it doesn't go flying off and gives the pen a great balance with which
to write. The white body is a nice clean white and the window for the ink is
lovely. The nib is a smooth write, it doesn't take a lot of pressure, and even
if the cap is left on for some time (I work at a bank and use this as my main
writing utensil, it occasionaly gets left open while I'm running transactions)
it doesn't take much effort to get the ink to flow again. The grip on this pen
is great! For anyone that hasn't used a fountain before, the grip makes it
pretty easy to hold it correctly.
Cons: The nib leaks. It seems that every time I've gotten it mostly clean, I cap
the pen, set it down, and come back to more ink on my nib. I'm not sure if it's
because of the converter I put in it that forces the ink into the nib more than
a cartridge would, but I don't like that I constantly have an inky nib. And
because of this, it feels like I'm filling the ink every other day or so, when
my other fountain can go for two weeks or more with the same use time. The nib
is also a lot broader than I expected it to be. It is certainly broader than my
Medium nib from the Pilot Metropolitian.
Even with the cons as stated, I do enjoy writing with this pen. It makes letter
writing smooth and enjoyable, it would just be more enjoyable without those
