Life is a jungle, and the special Lamy Safari pen can take you through it one stroke at a time. Lamy is a world-famous pen company headquartered in Germany. Their Safari line consists of high quality pens made of sturdy plastic and self-sprung chrome metal clips.

The Lamy conveniently refills with ink cartridges. There’s no need to push in cartridges, just insert cartridge and twist the barrel, and the pen tightens to puncture the cartridge itself.

This pen includes one Blue Lamy T10 cartridge.

Q: My Lamy fountain came with ink in the nib. Did I receive a used pen?
Lamy dip tests its fountain pens at the factory, and it is not uncommon for new Lamy fountain pens to have some ink residue in the nib. As with all new fountain pens, we recommend giving your new Lamy a good cleaning before you use it. For more info, read How to Clean a Fountain Pen.

I love this fountain pen. Totally beats the Pilot Plumix. The cartridges are easy to use (unlike the Pilot Plumix). I use it every day. I like the blue color of the fountain pen. It can take abuse. Usually when I drop it the cap is on. It is easy to clean. I don't have a converter yet. I just put the nib section under warm running water until the water is clear. Make sure you dry it thoroughly with a power towel before you start to write. I keep making that mistake.

Horrible nib. Lots of creep. Lamy charges $9.50 for any kind of repair, which was basically a wash compared to the cost of a new nib. Luckily the nib was all that needed replacing.
