This pencil works great...., March 5, 2012
This pencil works great. I love the fact that the metal sleeve for the lead
retracts into the barrel for travel. The grip helps keep my hand from tiring and
works great for even MY strange way of holding a pencil. About the only thing I
would trade it for is if they made the Kaweco AL Sports in 0.5mm.

After purchasing a Pilot..., July 17, 2012
After purchasing a Pilot 20 this pencil has become an afterthought. Also I'm
using the Pilot lead in this now, since the lead that came with it has become an
afterthought. Yet, it has it's place— especially around salt water and
industrial environments, just don't lose the cap!

I retract my last statement..., June 16, 2012
I retract my last statement because I would buy another Lamy [ABS] pen due to
its "durability". These pencils can take a beating— and the retractable tip
is genius. You can clear the lead by breaking off the lead tip via the cuts in
the cap. Remove the cap, put the lead in the hole— snaps off, flush. Also,
the rubber ring on the cap keeps the pen from sliding, firmly on a desk. Great
engineering.

The pencil has great..., June 7, 2012
The pencil has great feel and execution but there are seems [ridges] along both
sides of the body due to inferior molding which is a major disappointment. Both,
my Safari [yellow] Rollerball and Mechanical Pencil show seems, but the pencil
[also yellow] being much worse, to the point of cutting/catching into my hand
and fingers. I like the feel and ergonomic design of these LAMY pens— they
are top shelf, but the pretty die-cut box it arrives in does not make up for the
lack of detail [mold flashing] along the body. It's unacceptable at this price
point and should be taken up with the manufacturer, under advisement.

I will not buy another Lamy plastic pen or pencil due to inferior molding.
