The famous Japanese sketchbook manufacturer Maruman has done a splendid job in creating beautiful and high-quality paper products for other uses as well. The Maruman Giuris ranks outstanding in the three characteristics of texture, design and ease of use. Giuris paper is currently the highest quality that Maruman uses, making it a perfect platform for gel ink pens, ballpoint pens, and fountain pens alike. The paper conveniently refills the Giuris through a metal ring paper system. The Giuris binder is made of supple, durable faux leather and has a capacity of 70 loose sheets. Each binder comes pre-filled with 20 sheets of loose leaf paper and a laminated tab index. The inside front jacket has additional pocket space to hold cards; the inside back jacket has a pen holder loop. Consists of 20 metal rings and has a width of 23 mm.

This is a fabulous cover and, along with the refill paper, constitutes an outstanding notebook system. The many holes punched in each sheet insure that they won't rip out, and the pages flip very easily (unlike some other systems that are less smooth). The paper is fantastic with fountain pens, much better than the Levenger Circa paper. I'm delighted with this notebook!!

I saw and took note of the dimensions, but I don't think I fully realized what the actual size entails. It's smaller than what I wanted to use it for, so to clarify, this is less of the typical "file folder" size and more "agenda book/planner" size.

Paper quality is great and the multiple rings definitely secure the papers really well. It also opens and closes very smoothly. The only reason why I give it four stars is that the cover is flimsier than I'd want for something that costs $44. Otherwise very nice, sleek, and professional looking.

Love it! Looks and feels classy and it's definitely worth more than a cheaper binder, not sure about 50 bucks worth though. The binding was and still is a little loose, but I'll make due.
