I love these notebooks!...

I love these notebooks! Not only the layout, but also the fact that the back
side of each page is blank (which actually disappointed me at first, but then I
grew to appreciate it, because it facilitates more freeform use).
I write in mine with both pencil (generally a 3B Hi-Uni) and also a few
different very fine-nibbed fountain pens (typically with Iroshizuku inks) and
find they both work just great on the smooth finish of the paper Maruman uses
A couple nice touches are the classy but understated front cover, which makes
this notebook look perfectly at home in a conference room, and the nice sturdy
cardboard back cover, which offers plenty of support even when you have to take
notes while standing.

I'll open by saying I should've started using these notebooks a long time ago.
The main reason is I don't have to do any sort of contortions to get a
comfortable writing positions with these notebooks on account of being wire
bound. There's no having to prop up either my elbow or the book itself. (Look, I
know this isn't anything new, but I still love these little notebooks) The paper
writes great with my Lamy Studio Palladium/Diamine Blue-Black and with pencils
as well. The three pack is also a pretty decent value too.
My only complaint ("feedback" rather) is I'd like to see these in a cloth bound
set up. Along the lines of a webbie.
Again, you'll love these little notebooks.

I wanted to like this...

I wanted to like this notebook, unfortunately, it's way too smooth for pencil
and too ink-resistant for fountain pens. Super-smooth surface limits it use to
fiber-tip or liquid roller-ball pen types. Nicely designed, but not very
versatile in my opinion. Moving on to something else.
