There is something about this pencil that makes me reach for it above the others on my desk. Perhaps it's the gorgeous color, or the very dark and smooth writing lead. It just feels right in my hand. I have a lot of pencils and this one is my new favorite.

I always bust the leads on mechanical pencils because they're so thin and I tend to press hard. This lead holder has a nice thick lead, so it doesn't break even under the sort of pressure I use. Love the colour and smooth finish as well. The sharpener cap is a clever extra.

This is my first lead holder, and the minute I put it to paper I was in love. The lead is buttery smooth and carries a nice rough looseness to it.
The body is a really lovely light blackberry color and has a comfortable weight. It's shorter than my drafting pencils which I usually use, but that was very easy to get used to. The fact that it has an incremental advance also smooths the transition and makes me more comfortable using it.
The sharpener cap is a hit or miss really. I like it, but the little "blades" seem to enjoy moving around when I try to sharpen. It gets the job done, and I like having the lead duller rather than a finer sharpness.
All in all if you're looking for a lead holder, this is a spectacular one to go with. I was kind of put off that there weren't any lead options, but the lead really is buttery smooth and glides beautifully. Highly recommended.

This is a really lovely writing tool -- fit and finish are excellent, the color is beautiful. I was hoping it would fit some dressmaker's chalk I have, but that turned out to be 4 mm. I'm keeping the lead holder anyway -- it's too nice to send back.
