Metropolitan Museum of Art Ballpoint Pen - Medium Point - Egyptian Ceiling

This item is no longer available for sale on
The design of this beautiful ballpoint pen is based on the painted ceilings of ancient Egyptian tombs. Cemeteries in western Thebes were painted with colorful patterns and decorations, and in the early 1900s the splendor of these artworks was replicated in full, rich color. The patterns of these ancient tombs now lies on display in the Museum's Egyptian galleries, as well as on the body of this pen.

A twist mechanism is used to extend and retract the pen, which contains black ink. The pen accepts standard ballpoint refills such as the Schmidt P900 or Parker Golden Touch.
